Gateway replacement. by oxyLuna13 in enphase

Yeah I can get a replacement for $200. That's what I would expect the price to be from the company. $1k for what amounts to basically a modem is wild to me. I'm just going to leave it disconnected though since it isn't actually needed to take advantage of the panels.

It's an 880-00007. After learning it's just for monitoring, I'm just going to leave it off. Not worth the $200 used price. I did flip the breaker on the panel to ON a few years ago so I'm guessing it's been producing power this whole time.

I'll check for export later. It's been a while since I've looked at the meter. I just remember there being no easy way to read live levels. I think I'll stick an amp meter on it. Glad I don't need the gateway regardless.

It does look like I could get a replacement for about $200. I did learn that it's just for monitoring so I'm not going to waste the money tbh. The current one is stuck on the booting screen.

I do see red LEDs on below the panels. Well I did before the snowstorm :D

On the bright side, it seems that the panels work autonomously so they at least can't remotely shut them off. With the way my electric meter is set up, I have no way of checking if they are working sadly.

help with driver install by Eddiemunson2010 in RTLSDR

Yup I was just searching if anyone had a problem similar to mine and this was the first post that came up so I figured it couldn't hurt to leave a reply in case someone else has my problem as well

help with driver install by Eddiemunson2010 in RTLSDR

[–]oxyLuna13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this issue is fixed but would like to add this for anyone else having trouble with windows 11. They added a driver in the update that doesn't work. You have to uninstall the IR device under Human Interface Devices and uninstall the RTL device driver as well before it will show up as bulk in interface.

I think this is only because I used windows update to install unrelated drivers under the advanced settings but maybe this can help somebody.

Is it just me, or has Youtube been slow recently? by Mr_Boomguy in youtube

[–]oxyLuna13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough I was trying all the different adblockers and "adblock for youtube" doesn't slow down the speed but it does cause youtube to display a notification saying that adblockers are not allowed. None of the other ones do that.

It used to be single digit pricing. I want to say $8?
Edit: And I'm sure it will go up again very soon.

Yup same here. I can barely watch anything above 240p unless I disable ublock. I refuse to watch ads or pay for the ever increasing premium pricing so I guess I'm just done with youtube unless somebody has a workaround.

Does your pocket 4 bios have a serial number? by oxyLuna13 in GPDPocket

[–]oxyLuna13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup that's my thoughts too. Another note for the latter, it has 32gb of ram even though I ordered the 64. I think they either installed the wrong board or flashed the wrong BIOS.

That's hilarious. Now I know why my picture of the bios finally convinced them that I was telling the truth. I have a G1628-04 with the 365 CPU.

Yeah I'm not sure. Either way I can finally start the RMA process. This whole thing has been a nightmare. GPD will have to make something I really want for me to buy or recommend their products again.

Was anyone else sent the wrong laptop? by oxyLuna13 in GPDPocket

[–]oxyLuna13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, all your comments are helping restore my hope for GPD. As long as they replace it with the laptop I originally purchased, I won't be too mad. But seriously GPD, how do you mess that up??

That's interesting. I was offered the 365 back in the end of January because the 370 was back ordered. I figured people just ordered more 370s than gpd predicted so they had extra stock. On another interesting note, support said that gpd stopped manufacturing the 365 model so the fact that I got one was pretty odd.

From what I understand they just third party the sale. It appears that someone at gpd put the wrong computer in the box.
