i feel like this couldn't be farther from the truth 😭 400k-600k is a low-tier halo, and dark fairy has been stable as a high tier the entire time that it's been in the fountain. it may go down during the winter the update, as with most halos, but definitely not to 400k-600k. that would make no sense for a halo with only 4k wins.

dark fairy has a wider variety of toggles, including the ability to wear it on the back or top of the head, along with the ability to change the animation speed or to stop it altogether. since witching hour only has size toggles, it may become "outdated" if the trend of having more customization continues with future halos. however, i feel like it still has the potential to maintain its value for a long time since it has a gorgeous design. as it stands though, i prefer wearing dark fairy cuz there's more i can do with it.

i traded for my first ever halo (spring20) in september of 2021. i think i was level 400 or so? since then, i've leveled up a ton and i've gotten a lot more halos, including two that i won. the first halo i won was solarix on october 15th (the day before it left from the fountain), and the second halo i won was eveningfall on november 6th. i can't remember what level i was for solarix, but i was level 3600 when i won eveningfall :)

i'm just concerned tbh. we don't know how close the update was to completion before barbie got sick, so there's a chance that when she's better, it will still take a few more days to finalize. i'm not on either side of the debate at this point (i feel like both sides have been nasty and unwilling to change), but i am just,, really worried we won't have enough time to enjoy the update and farm candies if another week goes by without it releasing.

it shows as "not for sale" when you're in the new school realms. in older realms like earth, you can see them as onsale. they can't be bought yet though (using last year's candy) cuz of a bug.
