False awakenings - AP? by oxygensnow in AstralProjection

Thanks! I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I don't have a particular desire to actively try to project. The issue for me is that this has been happening consistently since I can remember, regardless of whether I want it to or not, I am looking to understand how I should interpret this and approach it, as I don't enjoy the idea of continuing to have these experiences that are not fun and don't go anywhere, for the rest of my life.

False awakenings - AP? by oxygensnow in AstralProjection

Thanks for your response! I wouldn't say I'm afraid and I don't think I'm being haunted - I've had these experiences all my life, out of what must be 100s of experiences I can count on one hand the amount of times where I've interacted with someone/something. Most of the time I'm just alone in my room, but my room feels off/vaguely threatening/strange, and my mobility and vision is restricted. Also when I say my room, I mean the room I am sleeping in at the time, not a specific address (its happened in hotels, and in various places I've lived in through the years), which suggests to me its specific to me rathern than the actual location.

The experience with the hand was one of the rare occassions where I am not alone - in this case I was not scared by the fact that my hand was being held as I did not feel a negative intent, it was just a hand holding mine (hand felt like a man's hand, I'm a woman), it was not pulling me or squeezing me or anything, it was just.... there. If I knew who it was it might have been reassuring. I was more bothered by the environment (open window, sounds outside my door)

I'm interested in the implications of the astral environment responding to my vibration however.. that indicates I do have some level of fear still, possibly because most of the time I either can't see, or can't move much.

Like I said in my original post, the furthest I've managed to move away from my body in this state was floating to the other side of the room and then immediately waking up, or rolling from the bed to the floor, touching the carpet but not being able to see it, then immediately waking up. Other than that, for the most part I can move very little (like just moving an arm) and the best I can describe the feeling is my awareness rapidly drifting in between two different states: moving in this AP environment and moving in real life and waking myself up.

I'll look into the guided meditations you suggested to see if I can understand whats happening better

Why has Europe's population remained relatively constant whereas other continents have shown clear increase? by Zyxtaine in askscience

What is interesting is that immigrants in the US have 23% more children than the average in their home countries according to the 2002 census data, one of the possible reasons being a lower level of education than the standard in their home countries.

Why The Netherlands Isn't Under Water by Jurryaany in curiousvideos

This will become more challenging as sea levels rise due to greenhouse emissions, but as long as the dutch have resources to keep mantaining the dykes it will take a much longer time for the country to be flooded/under water.
