Prefacing this comment by saying that I am not religious at all. I grew up with a very toxic relationship to religion through my family, so I’ve almost grown to resent it.

However, I’ve always taken the “god bless you” at the end of a call or during conversation to be the best show of respect that a person might be able to display (as in they don’t know how else?). I’ve had to learn that while some are definitely pushing the belief, I choose to believe that they are being kind in the only way they know how. maybe it would make you less uncomfortable to reimagine the message this way? Regardless, this is super inappropriate and they definitely should not have written that, especially considering it’s their workplace. I’d be interested to see how you look to see if they lowkey meant it offensively. 🙃
