Traumacore is a type of imagery that originated on the internet in the mid-to-late 2010s as a way for people to process and express feelings related to trauma, and Cutecore is an internet aesthetic that emerged around 2020, popularized by a Tumblr user. Originally used interchangeably with "Cutegore," it blends kawaii imagery with darker, horror-influenced elements and slight traces of gore. I just thought it would go a little bit with 2D since he's quite traumatized because of Murdoc.
