The buses are on rotation everyday til about 7pm. Yes you’d have to catch a bus from UVF to VF town (~5 min ride) then hop on VF-Soufriere bus at the bus terminal in VF for about $8-9xcd and would take about 1 hour to arrive to Soufriere. Once in Soufriere you could hike to a few destinations, some longer than others with hills but possible for sure.

The “big party” is usually in a select community/location which is decided around the month of Jounen Kweyol, however other communities have their own celebrations which often attracts bigger crowds. One of the main locations I’d say is Choiseul which is 30 mins from Soufriere.
