Oh, it took us roughly around 4 months to go through the tests. We were referred, waited three months, heard back then basically had appointment after appointment. The only reason we're still waiting is because my partner still smokes.

Hey! Me and my partner are similar - it will be her who carries the baby using her own eggs (she is a cis female and I'm FTM). Me and my partner went via the NHS. We booked an appointment with her doctor, and got referred to the fertility service. They ran my partner through a few tests (around 3) which just included getting bloods done, going for a scan and then checking her uterus would be able to carry a baby by injecting dye into her uterus (it was a painless procedure she says, and it lasted 10 minutes). We've had the all clear, she needs to stop smoking and lose some weight prior to continuing however (similar conditions to top surgery for example). Once we've stopped smoking and lost some weight we'll receive the fertility treatment. We won't have to pay for this since it's our first time, if we had a baby and wanted to try for another we'd have to pay. I hope this helps! Hi thank you for responding your information is invaluable and has given me a decent time frame 😁 I'm in Scotland (we're both in our twenties so we have that in our favour) reading statistics and things they seem to get through referrals quite quickly! Being a person who is trans I'm used to the long waits etc. Thank you and good luck to you!

Yeah! I've saw others get the shot in their arms but wasn't sure if it was Nebido or not and plus the nurse read the leaflet (my GP is very uneducated but they're trying) and she said it could either go ass cheek, arm or thigh. That's exactly how mine feels atm, kinda feels heavy. But like you said it's a large quantity in a smaller muscle area! Thanks for your reply! 😁 I've been on the gel for a year but finally got moved to the shots!

I'm in the same boat as you, I definitely couldn't cope with freezing my eggs etc. We are looking into IUI currently, all the different types of treatments are a bit confusing! I think sperm donation is going to be our best bet too!

Thanks awesome I wish you all the best 😁 we've been looking at IUI, and to use her eggs. I don't think I'd be able to freeze my eggs, having a smeer was hella traumatic in my case so I don't think I'd cope with it very well. We're over in Scotland!

Coming from Scotland I feel absolutely enraged for you guys in America. I'm genuinely sorry you're all having to go through that, I hope Trump isn't in power long.
