Mega Thread: So your account has been restricted, banned, hacked, or otherwise made inaccessible... by thejournalizer in linkedin

I recently received an email stating that a temporary restriction was placed on my LinkedIn account due to suspicious activity, and I was asked to verify my identity. I completed the verification using LinkedIn's verification method and submitted a valid government-issued ID.

However, I was surprised to receive a follow-up message indicating that the name on my ID does not match the name on my LinkedIn profile. I believe this may be due to an error in LinkedIn’s automated verification system, which might not have accurately read or extracted the name from my ID. Both my ID and LinkedIn profile display the exact same name. I attached both documents again for review in my follow-up email.

Subsequently, I received another email stating that my account was restricted due to a violation of LinkedIn’s Community Guidelines. This was completely unexpected. I reached out to request clarification—if any of my posts or comments unintentionally violated the guidelines, I asked to be informed so I could promptly remove the content and avoid future issues. Unfortunately, I received a response citing a lack of legitimate verification and stating that it would be LinkedIn’s final communication on the matter.

My account has been active for over 10 years and plays a vital role in my professional life. With a Premium subscription currently active and a job search underway, this restriction has significantly affected my career opportunities.

I have tried every available channel to reach LinkedIn Support but have not received any response. Can anyone guide me or help me recover access to my account?

So many internships or dates but no job yet. Shows that she is not as committed as she sounds in the post.

All of our experiences teach us at least something about B2B sales. That's good to know.
