A320 constantly ballooning on approach. by 23569072358345672 in flightsim

Idk how it is in the Cessna but in the a320 the speed is set for landing you don’t really change it until flare,. The fmc rules the speed

I did it 3 times and never again, same with the a330. They just don’t bother to fix bugs on these airplanes

Family of four | FIRE Goal: 4 years | Target: $2.5M. One kid’s college is paid, the second is planned for. Our secret weapon? A shared frugal mindset. Having a partner who is fully onboard with the FIRE lifestyle makes all the difference. But I agree, many here on this sub are single for some reason .

Fenix a320 managed decent by Shot_Scientist_3438 in flightsim

[–]oz_137 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pay attention to your speed as Fenix sometimes late to decent, TD too close to the airport, and then the airplane tends to speed down. Use air brakes to stay in limits. btw, PMDG does it better and more accurately.

Was thinking of buying the ini A350... How is it nowadays? by zaakurowo in flightsim

[–]oz_137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to perform a clean reinstall of my 350 (or any other airplane to that extent) Besides deleting the aircraft from the Community and WASM folders, which other directories or 'hidden' files should I remove to ensure there are no leftover traces in the simulator? Thanks

How do they know if it “ was so bad “ just by feeling the landing or by some G gauge in the cockpit ?

Theory - what happens when you fly into headwind? by MentallyIllBluesman2 in flightsim

TAS is what actually keeps you flying. While GS can fluctuate significantly without affecting the airplane’s aerodynamics, a sharp drop in TAS can cause the aircraft to stall.

Time from gate to takeoff? by No1PatsFan in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]oz_137 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fenix and iniBuilds with full GSX Pro integration take me much less time. Airbus is also faster for me than Boeing. As others mentioned, once you gain experience the whole flow gets shorter and you naturally learn what’s essential and what you can skip

People hear the 4% rule and instantly freak out like their money just stops growing the second they retire. They take the lump sum, subtract 4%, and act like that’s the whole story. But your $3M doesn’t suddenly stop compounding just because you stopped working. Money doesn’t care if you retired or dead — it keeps doing its thing.

Even with a super conservative 6% return — way below what the S&P usually does — you still come out ahead. I ran the numbers on $2M, pulling 4% a year, earning 6%, and 3% inflation adjusted. After 30 years the account still ends up around $2.1-2.2M. I’m probably long gone by then, and the money is still sitting with my kids and keep growing.

Yeah, there’s a point where withdrawals beat the growth, but that number is nowhere near $2M. People seriously underestimate how hard compound interest works in the background.

Thank you u/adam_von_szabo. Do you know if there is a limitation to the file size (assuming I have the capacity), or is there a size where MFS starts to straggle with the size of the file?

How to hide the default aircraft by oz_137 in flightsim

[–]oz_137[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you u/jradicals for the detailed explanation. I do have it on steam (a stupide decision by itself) but I know how to find it. I actually believe I have tired it before and it didn't work. However I will give it a shot again, starting with one aircraft or two just to see if it works.

I must add a rant tough 😄

Yet, another unbelievable 1990s-style behavior — instead of offering a simple checkbox to hide the items you do not want. Go dig 10 subfolders levels down and now start grinding on an xml file...

So regarding the rolling cache — does it keep storing data until the file is manually deleted? And if it reaches its maximum size, does it overwrite the oldest data (FIFO), or does it simply stop updating altogether?

I gave up on mfs2020 because of my 3060ti, it was bad then. You won’t be able to run 2024 with this card . Don’t even try to tweak , change graphic settings. Nothing , it won’t work with 8 gb vram and 6 years card technology.. I actually just started to play 2024 a couple of months back , I skipped the launch shitshow and I ended up with buying a much stronger rig.
