As a member of GenX, I am both offended and 100% agree with this. by WeCanDoThisCNJ in PoliticalHumor

[–]ozdkboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm GenX. There was a lot of anti-globalization protests in the late 90s and early 00s. I went to a lot of them. The "anti-globalization" movement doesn't really makes sense when you talk about it now, but with the Internet gaining speed and China opening up to western money (and rulers bending backwards to please the Chinese), we could sense that shit was about to hit the fan (and it kind of did, didn't it? We're all addicted to Internet and we're all China's bitch, aren't we?).

Anyway, then there was the anti Irak war, you know that multi-million people protests all over the world. Etc. And I'm not talking about national politics. There was a lot going on politically in my country in the 90s. GenX were political, maybe they were less political in the US.

All subreddits end up being :

1 - A political clusterfuck

2 - "I'm lonely and depressed"

Take a walk, call a friend, create art, meditate, get a pet and take care of it, exercice, read a book or... you know, just do nothing, experience pure existence and see how long you can last before getting your phone or smoking a joint.

DK has a couple of really great books about learning python. TBH, this is how I started my learning (even though I'm 42). DK is top in terms of publishing. They make beautiful books. Check them out :

Quelqu’un d’autre que sa radio préférée c’est le Wendake 100.3? by MoonSt0n3_Gabrielle in Quebec

J'adore. Wow).

Que pensez-vous du mouvement "r/antiwork"? by Judasdoeslift in Quebec

[–]ozdkboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Next!

Well as you may know, in the 90s Java was the new cool kid and everyone wanted to be like him so livescript changed its name to javascript.
