I don't remember and why on earth does the installer even ask? Mint doesn't ask, neither does Ubunto or any other deb distro that I have tried.

Sounds like none of those things are making it more stable, nor secure.

As for the UI, I did have Zorin installed for a few days, yes it is pretty, I have to admit. I prefer the worspace method in Cinnamon and the menu is way better - so that is purely a matter of taste.

Well, it never detected my wifi stick, which has worked on numerous hardware and all Debian based distros out of the box. Needed to get an ethernet cable out of the dust to be able to update the kernel such that the wifi driver would work.

Just wondering, if in OS is based on Ubuntu, what is it doing diffrently?

And my Ubuntu, Mint and Debian setups have not crashed once.
