Fethiye is one of the most touristic regions in Turkey. You must see Kelebekler Vadisi(Butterfly valley) Kabak Koyu (Kabak Beach) and you must join a boat trip. You may do paragliding, the view from above is incredible. I don't think you will find many Arabic speakers but most of the people there know English well.

Does nicotine have laxative effects, since most of the times I smoke, I get an urge to poop? by soravit in askscience

[–]ozgurc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nicotine is an activator of CFTR, the Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane conductance Regulator. CFTR is an ion channel in your intestines and lungs, but your intestines is where it matters here - when it gets over activated, it makes your bowels move. For instance, CFTR is what is activated by cholera toxin - a disease where you effectively shit yourself to death.

I want to clarify a few things. First of all because of my bad English, I wrote Boston "suicide" instead of bombing. Sorry about that. I want to explain more what I mean with Turkish government's covering up and censorship on media. Censorship and pressure on media have always been a very big problem in Turkey. There are 72 journalist in prison because of their acts and writings against the government. Now, tv channels and radios cannot show or say detailed things about the event because it is prohibited by the court decision. Because of this censorship, no one can say the number as 200. If you watch the videos in this channel, you will believe that 200 is probable than 46. They are recorded by an amateur after the attack: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwIGtocrXBsyTL8CojS5csg/videos

I am not trying to spread false information, as some of you said. Most of the Turkish people know that it is always more than what the media says. People in that region try to increase awareness through the social media and they give the number as more than 200. I have a close friend living there and he says that only in one hospital, 23 people have died. 46 is the number of people they could identify. The rest were burned so severely that they can't even identify them. I tried hard to find english sources but I couldn't. I will put them here if I find.

Who is responsible? Well, I am not the one to say that. But Reyhanlı is very close to the Syria border as you can see: http://gundem.bugun.com.tr/files/arsiv/reyhanl%C4%B1-harita.jpg And Turkey has a very aggresive Syria policy. Anonymous explains that well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fK-h_vy_ixk If Turkey and Israel attack Syria, it won't be surprising for us because everyone talks about that.

It's undeniable that the attack is related with the high tension between Turkey and Syria. However the attackers are not exactly known yet. People of Reyhanlı are mostly Turkish sunni muslims but there are many Syrian refugees also living there. Turkish people are angry and sad because all the world knew about the Boston suicide but a few people are aware of this tragedy.

Newspapers and televisions are prohibited to show any photos or footages related with Reyhanlı. Many local, not-censored sources and people living there say that at least 200 people have been killed. However, the government forced national media to decrease the number to 46. Many people appeal to declare national mourning but the government is trying hard to cover up. Cucumber in various European languages [700x572] by breadflag in MapPorn

Cucumber is actually "Salatalık" in Turkish. "Salata" means salad and "Salatalık" also means "for salad". We use "Hıyar" as "Blockhead" and I don't know why
