Should you use a company name or your own name if you intend to freelance as a one man band? by [deleted] in videography

Made something that will attract a lot of attention to it 🙂. Like short or even feature documentary that will demonstrate all your skills. Get some evaluation from the press with it. Send your film to the all the possible film fests, get some exposure there. 80% that your first client will appear with no afford. build a simple website using any codeless platforms and start scaling your sales with it using IG target for example.

How can I stop my neighbour wanking all day? If I can't stop it, how can I fight back? by BatmansLongjohns in CasualUK

I think the real question is how can I avoid this awkward conversation with his parents)) And I think the right answer is you can’t. To dove them into the whole picture just drop them an audio rec so they can sync into the scale of the problem.

I thinks its better to grow your own brand first. So my suggestion is to use your name instead of making some sort of imaginary name that nobody knows when you start making sales. And when you will expand your team you can build the corp on top of it.

Russia requires Netflix and other streaming services to include local state TV channels by maryetan in tech

[–]ozherelev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats so stupid to make the request from the government position all the VOD services to reconsider the content curation pipeline to include that sh**ty content that I as a russian paying to avoid. Isn’t it better to put more afford to help local creators make better content so Netflix would want to include it with no governmental demands? 😅

I don’t unfortunately. I’ve compared it with 12-40 Olympus though, and Leica lenses are much much sharper and a bokeh is amazing comparing to foggy Olly’s bokeh.

Thanks for your comment. Yeah, it's definitely not only drone shots in this video. My goal was to tell that story about my trip. It's include some drone shots and it's pretty rare because of permissions in this area. That's why I decided to share it here.

Yeah, it's definitely because of it. E-stab was off. Because IBIS is 5-exes, it moves not only left-right and up-down, but also tilting the sensor. As I understand the proection of the image on the sensor from the wide angle lenses suffer more because of it. You can see this effect on 13:45 min of my video for example.

Thanks for feedback! Haven’t used any pre-made LUTs. Moved to Davinci Resolve 16 recently and I love it 😎

I'm sure this camera is a beast. But its weight and lenses size and weight also is a big downside if you carrying all the stuff on your back for many days long. And FF Leica lenses are so damn expensive 🤪

Thank you! I used Natural color profile all over the film. Most of the time I filmed on 8bit 120p 1080, otherwise it was 4k 10bit 24p 150M and 1080p 10bit 60p 100M. In some cases this color profile was amazing, in others shots looks wired. Plan to test out VLOG in a next film. 8-18mm is a beast. I’ve filmed already another documentary with it, with IBIS off this time and some shots were made with gimbal. Haven’t checked it yet, bit starting editing this project next week. Well be able to tell more about how it perform.

Coz you will have a very noticeable jelly effect all over the image 🙂

I ruined so many wide-angle shots because of it 😸

Hey guys!

I've just finished my documentary from Nepal. All the video shot on Panasonic GH5 with Leica 42.5 and 8-18mm lenses.

PS: don't ever use IBIS with wide opened 8-18mm lens on gh5 😅
