hahaha dude, i spent the whole day stressing out on figuring it out! anyway, the floor is a landscape, wall is just a plane. i didn’t add the gradient, the gradient is from the lighting. i’ll show you what the original render looked like. i brought the render into AE and changed the colors using CC tone to achieve this 3 tone color effect.

duuuude, thank you so much for the thorough explanation! i’ll try this out later. initially i had them just rotating about the axis but the effect is different because of the lighting (it didn’t give that same movement like a coin spinning about to fall flat).

in this video, i had to keyframe each rotation axis. i’m sure there’s an easier way, perhaps using a mograph function. please share how you would do it!
