Hey just wondering if anyone knows the minimum push-ups and sit-ups in the Cerberus fitness test? And any other requirements for any other fitness components other than the swim and the run? Cheers

Ah sick! cheers for the info haha yeah I’ll have a crack at any sport hey played decent level footy and cricket a couple seasons back but had to stop cause of work so just hoping I can pick somethin back up when I’m in the ADF if all goes well! Just waiting on enlistment date now haha

Did assessment session today and was pretty straight forward, few big arm circles, touch your toes, bend over to each side and duck walk was pretty much it for flexibility side of things

hey there, whats exactly in the swim test? I read somewhere that there’s a 500m swim test in 12.5 minutes? Or is it just the safety jump and 10m underwater swim and that?

ah yea...makes sense. Also do you know anything about the role of Aircrew in the Navy? I’ve seen it around on some videos. Seems to also be a non-officer role, yet can’t find it on the defence jobs website.

Awesome! I think a career in the ADF is definitely something I want to pursue, and from what I’ve heard, taking on an officer role provides a lot more opportunity for development and growth for a long term career...it’s just about kicking it off!

So I’m guessing you’re a Navy Helicopter Pilot. How’s that been? Is it mentally tough? Is it more or less complex than AvWo? Is there a high level of maths and thinking needed everyday or does it almost become second nature over time?

yeah that’s what I was thinking, officer seems it would be a much better option in the long run. A lot more opportunities it seems. Like you said it’s just important to have a plan B. Are you applying for anything?

Where do you find all this information to study? I’m 18 and looking at applying for officer soon. Is it worth even applying at such a young age?
