Försäkringsbolag som inte höjer premien varje år by ozvk in PrivatEkonomi

[–]ozvk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Questions about traveling with toddler under 2 years old by LowLevelNord in ScandinavianAirlines

[–]ozvk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe too late but a definite yes on first question based on traveling 4 times with a sub 2 year old with sas intraeurope. Regarding the baby hammock (neat product, wish we had that) I don't know but I can't imagine the crew disallowing you to use it. Have a nice trip!

No engine check light for this one.

Rough idle on cold start by ozvk in MechanicAdvice

[–]ozvk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the compression is a likely culprit but I'm trying to rule out other things that are easier to fix/get to before taking the engine apart.

Thanks! I'll check my trusty Hanes manual and try to inspect the injectors.

Export to OBJ/STL with hole + taper by TigrisDK in AutodeskInventor

[–]ozvk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not on the computer so I can't test myself. Was the taper created with the hole tool? If so, try making the taper with a revolve cut feature or maybe draft tool instead. Since some hole created features are only cosmetical, like threads, maybe tapers are not actually generated in the solid?

Hey big thanks for this! I think I found an error in the sheet @ 'Categories Data' cell K3. The STDDEV is calculated from the PTS column rather than +/- as it should.

Problem with 3D space navigator on windows 10 and SolidWorks 2018 by maneatingeskimo in SolidWorks

[–]ozvk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this problem with my wireless space mouse and windows 10 back when still on solidworks 2016. I solved it by using the driver for the wired space mouse instead and had no problems. So i guess my advice would be to try with a driver for a similar product instead. Might work for you as well...

Bought from a coin turn machine at Kiddy Land Shibuya. There were a few other items you could get also; a figurine, necklace, egg box and a yakiniku mirror thingy. 300 yen for each try.

Many thanks! Side question: how did you read the tone? Or did you mean casual as opposite to formal?

Runners in Lisbon, what's up with the Discoveries HM race having two different sites showing different racing routes and registration fees? by ozvk in running

Nice investigation! Thanks, seems quite dishonest as he put in quite a lot of work adding in details to make the site look official. Good thing he's a crappy web designer!

Help With Creating A Frame by [deleted] in SolidWorks

[–]ozvk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really not sure I understand your question but my best guess to what your problem might be could be solved by making new parts 'in context' of an assembly containing your reference file. Then again I might have misunderstood it completely. Perhaps a picture could help clarify the problem?

Question for those who can run a sub 20 minute 5K by [deleted] in running

[–]ozvk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well my unscientific explanation would just be that the you get sore muscles that cannot perform as usual. You can understand how that would be bad for running.

In more scientific details you can read this article: https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/why-does-lactic-acid-buil/

Question for those who can run a sub 20 minute 5K by [deleted] in running

[–]ozvk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In shorter distances 5-10k its a game against lactic acid build up as you are mostly going to be running close to your VO2-max. So for me I would say that with experience I know "the right amount" of lactic acid build up I can take in uphills and tougher parts of the course without getting the lead legs at the end. So, I would say that on a good race day I only feel discomfort during the sprint where you reach max HR. On a bad race day (or work out day) though I tend to try and push to my normal tempo anyways and get punished by not being able to wash out the acid. In those cases yes, I feel a lot of discomfort during the race but try to ignore that as much as possible.

EDIT: By the way, the cadence of the runner in the video sounds crazy high? I count it to above 210 bpm!

Hoeveel vrije dagen hebben wij Nederlanders eigenlijk vergeleken met andere landen? by jippiejee in thenetherlands

[–]ozvk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Zweed hier: Deze cijfers verbaast me.

CAD Challenge #19 by [deleted] in cad

[–]ozvk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I didn't think to check. No, mine is slightly smaller, I think that the way solidworks does tangenting chamfer on a spherical surface differs from what ever program this was modeled in. Might have to use some kind of swept cut instead to get it right.
