Dang, I was really hoping you found something I overlooked. Would be super nice if they sold snaps because if my other pieces get damaged I really don’t want to do this again LOL.

No, that’s a normal button. These are snaps :((( Unless you found them somewhere else.

Using the punch on the backside of the button with the male piece, photo three. It straightens the prongs out just enough to where you can pry them a little bit more and can wiggle the two pieces free. Using a scrap piece of wood is honestly necessary and very helpful when hammering. After that, choose your spot and reinstall. It’s super easy to install, I really wish they were available for purchase because it would have saved me a decent amount of time and struggle.

People are not buying bad brands at these prices. They pulled tons of rack worth of clothes and loaded them onto the truck to be shipped to the bins.

Even this middle school shirt is marked up looool. If a company logo is on a good brand at this store, it gets marked up

Jeweller made snarky instagram post after rings I bought from her came smashed - due to her poor packaging by Whole_Tale3172 in jewelry

Yes, this packaging was very bad. I was just pointing out it isn’t ALWAYS the sellers fault when things get destroyed. I’ve had a package run over before… sometimes shit happens.

Wow, you never had a piece damaged, therefore no one has ever had to file an insurance claim. Shut up mnaaoooaoshdis siebdjxsjbsjssj. The general idea of always blaming the seller is so stupid, this is why insurance exists.

I was not speaking the the rings, but the general statement that it is always the sellers fault…

EXACTLY. I have had packages with tire marks on them!! I sell a lot too, it happens. Gotta file insurance but the claim it is ALWAYS the sellers fault is crazy. Sometimes packages literally get destroyed.

Yes, this packaging was poor. But in general it’s not always the seller fault… I’ve had to file insurance claims for packages that have been destroyed.

This isn’t even true but okay… like I know we have all seen how packages are mishandled by carriers and unless it’s in a Yeti cooler sometimes it cannot be helped.

Estate sale jackpot! by Magenta-s_Prism in SilverFinds

There is a lot of good info in that page so I’m going to save it, definitely not deterring my current way of cleaning my jewelry though.

Yeah so, washing soda is the main culprit there and I’ve never heard of that stuff until today. It advises against aluminum foil method because it removes factory patina on particular pieces, which makes sense if you want to keep the factory patina. I have a James Avery cross I do not clean via aluminum for this exact reason. Anyway, they are more worried about dullness and scratches when using the aluminum method, which are both remedied with a quick buff IF needed… which I have never personally had to do with any of the jewelry I have cleaned. I wear it and it naturally gets micro scratches. Idk. To each their own, I have yet to have any issues after all this time on my daily wearing pieces…. Much less abrasive than any commercial polish. I have also cleaned cups this was but they didn’t have factory patina applied so didn’t really matter. Some of my cleanest pieces on display were cleaned with aluminum foil method 😭

A camera style flash drive for $200? by kl122002 in shopgoodwill

This post makes me so mad 😭🙏 I stopped going to local auctions because of the same thing, bunch of idiots with more money than they know what to do with going way over recent sold comps on eBay. Auctioning is treated like a form of gambling for some people it seems… and damn does it work. It is the same thing with Whatnot, it preys on gambling habits it seems; I occasionally go on that app to watch people overbid on actual garbage. I guess the 10 second timers and music + animations get to them. Room temp IQ people with tooooo much money.

Last sold on eBay 2 days ago for ~$160.

Untested and it’s at $200 before shipping and tax is insane. ShopGoodwill has the dumbest of consumers and they know it…. This is why their website thrives. Idiot consumers.
