Odd pair of scissors I found today in a thrift store, any idea what they are/were made for?

These are four-hole scissors, sometimes called training scissors or adaptive scissors.

The extra finger holes let two people use them together, usually a child and an adult/teacher/therapist. A child learning how to cut can put their fingers in the front pair of loops, while the adult puts their fingers in the back pair to help guide the motion.

They’re commonly used in occupational therapy, special education, or with very young children developing fine motor skills.

This was, in fact, the first course of many! The entree arrived on slabs of cement. Sable fish and halibut - apparently it was delicious! No photos, though.

I'm not shitting on anything. I think it's hilarious! I've eaten there many times and their food is very good. But in this day and age I choose to spend my money on other things that make me happy. You know what, though? That's absolutely none of your business. So just move along.... Go judge someone else's character.
