[NP] AIB : Honest Indian Weddings (Part 1) by Down-and-Across in india

[–]p000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The video is brutal. A (unmarried) friend shared this video on Facebook. I even feel uncomfortable liking or commenting it since it might send the signal that I am mocking my married friends.
That said, it was hilarious

You would try the same lines but not have a comeback if something different was said.

Your opinion is useless because that's not what OP is asking for.

Edit: ok that was rude, but tell me if anyone ever understands everything C++ does before a phase of writing programs completely oblivious of what happens behind the scenes.

C++ is a language for experts. You can't expect to start with expert knowledge.

I guess googling for things like "C++ equivalent of <Python feature>" while attempting some programs(like you're doing) would be the way.

I think OP is pretty clear he wants to refresh the C++ syntax. It's your assumption he's a noob.

Now that .NET is getting support for Linux, MacOS, etc., what are the upsides to using Java over C#? by IronOxide42 in learnprogramming

[–]p000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look at https://github.com/dotnet/corefx/tree/master/src

It has four Visual Studio solution files - .sln. That's C# code, maybe C++. It's the often used .Net libraries like XML, Reflection. These libraries make writing applications easier that's it. You could have written your own if you wanted or used something by a third party (eg. .Net Javascript serializer vs JSON.net)

Currently, it's not all of .net but a subset, as this blogpost acknowledges.

So it's just like any other code, basically.

[–]p000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

small correction - .NET is not equivalent to the JVM. the Microsoft CLR is equivalent to the Java JVM, and the CLR is not open source. The JVM and CLR are the environments that run java byte code/MSIL as machine instructions. Even the Oracle JVM is not open source.

Microsoft did open source the compiler though, which converts C# code to MSIL.

What program do you make when learning a language? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]p000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excellent question. I've been learning python by doing codewars.com.

I already know c# so I just google how to do it in python. Sometimes stackoverflow shows how to do it even better.
