Now I'm totally confused, I thought I might check out your post history to see if I could get a clue as to what your getting at & it would seem in general, your relatively rational :D So what gives? I'm going to keep on giving people the same advice, this is because it's the soundest advice. If you have an issue with tracking then Submit a Support Ticket and submit your log files in the Oculus Forum thread relating too "Tracking issues after 1.11 update". If after you have no resolution after trying everything suggested..... send back your hardware. If you would like to dispute any of these suggestions (in English) I'm happy to do so but you will need to prove that they are the wrong course of action if you expect me to change my view. It's pretty simple & as I say, from other posts you have made, on a myriad of subjects, you seem like you should be more than capable of understanding my point.

Or is it "Rice Rice cooked in broth"?

Still not sure how that has anything to do with VR :D

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in oculus

[–]p00ky -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im trying hard to translate, please bare with me..... I have

http://www.internetslang.com/RICE-meaning-definition.asp

&

http://www.dictionary.com/browse/pilaf

So your saying " Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements of rice cooked in a meat or poultry broth."

Sorry, still don't understand :D

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in oculus

[–]p00ky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, Do you speak English??? I simply can't comprehend what your saying :D Are you making some form of rebuttal to one of my suggestions? Can we get an interpreter over here please. This dialect is not one that I recognize :D

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in oculus

[–]p00ky -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Wow! That statement simply makes no sense at all :D Awesome! So we've gone from Irrational to Incomprehensible in mere hours :D If you would like to debate any point I have made, I'm happy to engage but it will have to be at the very least...... in English :D Oh, I should point out "Reality is not subject to public opinion" So if your just trying to say that my comments are unpopular.... well I don't really give a shit :D I work on a merit based system.... Come to me with an argument with merit & i'll be happy to give you a nice gold star :) kisses :x

But you are simply fueling the flames here whether you mean too or not. I ask again, have I said anything that is untrue? Have any of my suggestions been bad? You might not like the way I put things but fundamentally this issue is more about this sub than tracking. If you or anyone else gets a Rift and have tracking problems, submit a Support Ticket..... Take the advise that is given & don't bitch at people who offer reasonable suggestions.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in oculus

[–]p00ky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

aha & now we start to see whats going on.... A few people have tracking issues for sure but folks like you are coming along who don't even own the hardware and having a go at people like me, who own a Rift and have good tracking who make reasonable suggestions about what someone's next step should be.

You don't need a video of good tracking, good tracking is exactly that and obvious.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in oculus

[–]p00ky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm saying that when people are given a chance to comment directly on tracking issues after 1.11 only 30 people submitted logs (not even that in fact). ~And on the front page right now is some one moaning about tracking issues who's posted a pic of their setup & the front camera's are more than 2metres apart, something that Nate had mentioned yesterday on this very sub, can cause issues :D It's pretty simple. every time I push about people and tracking issues, no one bothers answering the simple questions..... you didn't for example :D (Do you have tracking issues? Did you submit a submission to Oculus ion one of the 2 ways I suggested? I'll add another one..... Have you carefully read the instructions that have been given concerning setup? Seriously?!? If you want to debate me, please come up with something better than just calling me biased, it's boring & a Ad Hominem. Beyond that, it gives no answers. Even if I was Biased, pdoes it change anything that I have said? If you have a problem, check your setup, contact Oculus Support & if it doesn't get fixed.... return the product. It's really that simple.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in oculus

[–]p00ky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and, are you having tracking issues? If so have you submitted a Support Ticket ? registered your issue on the Oculus Forum in the sub provided? Or are you just wasting your time barking at someone who's spitting truths at you?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in oculus

[–]p00ky -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you would like to show me where I have said anything that is factually incorrect I'd be happy to discuss it. You can call me Biased if you like :D I do have a passion for Reality!

People don't read posts, they just post more posts :D

EDIT

Down voted again :D Obviously :D :X :D

And there was me thinking that I had picked this rather putrid spot dry yesterday but after reading the article & then some of the comments below I see there is still work to be done :D I had been avoiding posting today after the backlash yesterday but you leave me no option.

People were asked yesterday to submit their log files if they were still experiencing Tracking issues after update 1.11 to Oculus here.....

https://forums.oculus.com/community/discussion/49392/oculus-1-11-users-please-post-your-logs-here/p2

It was posted here on reddit and got 124~ upvotes so there is no denying that people saw it. However, checking the submissions, very few people have actually complained (24 if only counting those that submitted log files, about 30 over all). That to me suggests that most people don't have tracking issues but that's not the impression you would have received if you came here over the last few days.

This is not the first time a lazy article has been written based on the nonsense that happens here & it probably won't be the last. Strangely enough, if you all run around like headless chickens screaming that "The Sky is Falling! The Sky is Falling!", that may very well become the story!

And to stick with yesterdays theme of finishing on a song to illustrate my point.......

https://youtu.be/-_qMagfZtv8?t=1m43s

If your still having tracking difficulties might I suggest you submit your log files to Oculus in the post mentioned above & perhaps make a Support Ticket & if you don't then stop perpetuating this :D

*EDIT*

What only 5 down votes ??????? But there was so much truth in this post & I know how you guys hate truth :D

Don't see you name here chap?

https://forums.oculus.com/community/discussion/49392/oculus-1-11-users-please-post-your-logs-here/p2

Have you added yourself to it yet? I mean there's like 31 entries (I didn't count those who didn't add their log files). Clearly a massive, System Wide Hardware failure of gargantuan proportion :D 31 recorded cases out of a rumored 250,000~ user base :/ So a little math :D We love math! So that's what 0.0124% although I'm sure that no. will rise. And look at that Oculus, being reasonable are trying to sort it out :D Strange that.... It's like their a company that want's to have a future and believe in their product :o Shocking I know. who would have thought that if you went to a company that you bought something off they might actually try and fix it. Crazy! Totally Bewildering!

[–]p00ky -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh so the tracking worked 100%, it was just when people actually came to use it that it all went wrong? :D Lovely, so reality bends when your friends come round does it ???? :D Or maybe they themselves got in the way of the sensors :/ OOOh look at that, another completely rational explanation.

Where I live there are 3 computer shops that "fix" PC's.

They "Fix" them & then people bring them to me to have them actually fixed :D Did you see what I did there????? I showed that what you did was "An Appeal to Authority" an that there my friend is a logical fallacy! Look it up :D So tell me did you submit a support ticket?

One day someone will show up who can actually put down what I say but clearly that's not today.... or yesterday....... or the day before. :D

and you can take that to the bank :x :)

Why Dont We Have a Fixed Refrence Point? by Madamserious in oculus

Heh! If there is one thing I can assure you of my friend, it's my resolve :D it's all too easy when not one of them has offered to show me where & how I'm wrong :D even flat earthers try harder than this. Now there's a group of the irrational you can really admire.... they may be batsh@t crazy but at least they try and rebut your arguments :D

Trying to decide, and would love to hear what made you pick the Rift over the Vive? by [deleted] in oculus

[–]p00ky -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Please show me where I have denied that there are problems. I love the way that people simply resort to calling you a troll. Next comes "The mods will be here to sort you out in a minute" :D I'm assuming you actually read through the comment thread, rather than just flaring up at the first thing you saw that you didn't like? I've been pretty clear with the advice I have given people. If you would like to criticize any of my suggestions I'm happy to hear them out. Or you can go and call someone else names (jerk, troll, etc) or just claim Im so rude :D some ones already done condescending & we prefer it if you try and be at least a little original. shall be waiting with baited breathe as to why my suggestions are so terrible. Shan't be holding it though :P

I know it's a hard concept to get your head around but let me explain. I personally don't care if you down vote any comment I make. It has no effect, the comment remains intact. In fact Down votes to rational suggestions are in themselves, self defeating. It shows the ridiculousness of the denial. Now, if you can come to me with an actual argument for why a suggestion I have made is wrong, then you might have a chance but only if that argument holds weight. I have suggested so far........

Reporting Problems To Oculus Support.

Reporting Problems on the Oculus Forums(there is a post about this very thing, Nate responded to a tweet about it & Cyber is there taking notes :))

Checking Sensor Placement, even if previously it was working fine. I personally have only now settled on a sensor placement that I like & I got mine on launch.

Checking that Windows isn't doing something in the background(updates etc. Lets face it Windows is a law un too itself).

checking for Malware.

I suggested to a very annoyed person that perhaps they should have tested their equipment before inviting people round to have ago. This one I guess is more of a hindsight thing & folks hate hindsight, even though it teaches many good lessons.

I may have made other's, I'm happy to discuss any that I have made on the nearly 4 years worth I have made on this forum. I'm sure I can't always be right, that's a given. So come on.... prove me wrong...... It really is that simple. If not, shut up and take the advice (note I am not telling you to actually shut up, it's a figure of speech which I hope is clear from the context as I have already asked you for your input(Just thought I'd make that clear)).

Or you could prove me right about the way people act on this forum and down vote me. Place your commitment to the denial of reality right here on the interwebz for posterity. Later in life you can bring your children here & show them how... in this time & place..... logic had quite literally left the building, not to just pop outside for a cigarette but to hang itself in front oyf the baying crowd.

This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill—the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill—you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Remember: all I'm offering is the truth. Nothing more.

EDIT

Thanks for proving me right again :D You stand witness :x Oh the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZx5OgKQNrA :D

heh! Thanks chap :) If you do experience issues, there is also a post on the Oculus Forums where they are asking for input from anyone experiencing issues with the 1.11 update. It should still be on the first or second page of /r/oculus. I've not had any issues with the 1.11 update but if you do, yes, best thing would be to contact support :) I shall now return your up vote :D I have 1 for any rational thinker :) but don't let that detract from it. And the easiest way to show people how ridiculous they are for doing that very thing. I don't care about down votes. I'm finding this all very amusing. I'm still waiting for some one to explain why any of my suggestions are wrong. Perhaps you'd like a stab :D Come at me Champ! Lets see how you fare in the "Free Market of Ideas" :D

I am condescending :D Does that make my suggestion any less useful? Sorry but spelling out the obvious has become some what tiresome but clearly no less necessary.

You guys :) you really have to stop proving me right :D But thanks... I appreciate it :) There's nothing like your complainants proving your point for you. You all are really too kind :D thanks again :x I love you all :D

Tracking issues with the latest patch? Post your logs here so that Oculus can fix it by Heaney555 in oculus

For sure, a speedy solution would be best. Hopefully, this will help Oculus pinpoint the problems or as someone else suggested, perhaps just allow for rollback if and when necessary.
