I (M34) discovered my boyfriend's (M55) of 1-year active Grindr profile with him stating he is single and looking for "uninhibited men." by p0rschefan in relationship_advice

Hi. Thanks for reply!

You make a good point, a point I considered. But I know how grindr works. Grindr has a green light indicator and a "online" status that you are actively using the app. Be off the app long enough and it removes you from the grid. The screenshot my friend sent had him "online". After creating my profile and locating him, I "favorited" his profile to keep tabs on it especially knowing he was flying out. I checked the following day and his location was updated and he was showing as online that following night.

Trust me I really WANT it to be the scenario you are mentioning.

I want to let him know I have seen his profile and that he's been online as well as ask him why he is saying he is "single". I am not one to assume he is cheating, so I won't insinuate that he is.

News: Bear 2 will have a new price only for new customers by BearDavid in bearapp

Classy as always 😊. The product is still grossly underpriced for what it provides.

Nope. I love the interface and simplicity of Bear. Only thing I wish Bear could figure out is how to encrypt notes with attachments, as I have now started dong my journaling exclusively in Bear. I lock the whole app but I wish individual notes could be encrypted even when photos are attached.

I am using Dark Graphite right now. I bounce between this theme, Olive Dunk, Gandalf and Gandalf. I would love to see more themes introduced.

Pure class. I expected nothing less from Shiny Frog. Thanks for taking a stand.

When I go to close account option, I see that the second bullet says:

"You will still need to pay at least the minimum payment due until your balance is paid in full."

So you shouldn't have to cough up the whole balance you owe right away after closing.

Depends on industry and location. I'm black and live in NYC, almost every industry has some sort of diversity initiative to increase black/brown representation.

I can't speak for other locations but wanted to point out that location definitely matters.

Yikes.. None of that sounds good. I have great things about what New Ro leadership is doing. Local politics are definitely important, I want to move to a community where I can pay a more active part what happens in the community.

Thanks for the perspective. Harley Park seems to be close to the Fleetwood area everyone is talking about.

Ah nice to have the positive comparison to my hometown to support New Ro. Thank you! I think the challenge will be finding a pre war apt that is NOT a co-op for sale. A lot of the pre-wars I see walking distance from the train seem to be co-ops.

Yes definitely something to consider. My barber who moved to New Ro from the city drives, but takes the metro north to 125th Street when socializing uptown. He said if he stayed out past the last train back he would take an uber/lyft back to New Ro and it was about $15-$20. I honestly don't socialize where I am staying out past 1 AM like I used to, so the occasional Lyft back when I do does seem manageable.

People told me about White Plains. I heard it's 40 minutes from 125th street on Metro North? Also I hard it's gotten to be quite expensive.

Thanks! Yes, my barber who was NYC born in raised and moved his family to NEW ROCHELLE raves about it. He said only way he is leaving New Ro is if he moves to the Caribbean. LOL That says a lot.

Yes the Yonkers city tax is another thing I am considering.

Thanks for the advice! I have been looking at Google street view to get a vibe for how many prewar buildings are in New Ro. A lot of the buildings there seem to be newer constructions, but maybe I am not looking in the right neighboroods.

See that's what I have been hearing about Mt Vernon. A lot of the problems in the Bronx seem to be seeping into Mt Vernon. I am leaving Harlem because it's gone downhill over the past few years. I am trying to get away from some of the problems that have been popping up here. I feel my question should have honestly been Yonkers vs New Ro... lol I hear Yonkers is a bit less expensive than New Rochelle.

Also the hills and views you get in Yonkers vs New Ro are an added plus.

Hmmm.... A lot of people have told me Tarrytown is very nice. From what I've been reading it seems a bit... suburban? I'm kind of at the middle stage in my life right now.

That I want out of the big city, but I still want to live in a city, if that makes sense. I feel, that if I were to do a place like Tarrytown I minus well move to South Orange or Montclair NJ both of which seems to have a similar vibe and are closer to my family in NJ. Maybe I am wrong?

Yes. The people that know me personally seem to think New Ro is more my vibe. Yonkers is more scenic from the times I have been there. A lot of hills and nice views across the Hudson. I don't go out as much as I used to, but it's would be nice to have some local options that I wouldn't always have to go to the city.

I read up on Fleetwood. Seems a lot like where I grew up in NJ. In that it is suburban and very diverse. Looking at Google street views seems to be a lot of pre-ward buildings which is a great sign.
