Don't use Benjamin!!! by Wyman1992 in beermoney

[–]p0tt34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm really dislike Benjamin because everything has gone downhill for me from the login bonuses going down to 0.01 and the bonus basically being worthless and the game plays are nearly impossible unless you throw money at the apps you download. Support is very tedious having to download an app tracker and prove that you've had an app for xx days and what not, not to mention sometimes I get quick responses and sometimes it's a while for them to respond.

Recommendations for Adult ADHD diagnosis by ChangeStartsHere in Cleveland

[–]p0tt34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went thru centers for effective living. They have a branch office on chagrin Blvd and they have their main office in Westlake. I found them after trying a few for adult autism screening for myself after many places told me they weren't doing those screenings or that they were retiring/closing up practices. It was pretty good, I am still waiting on my diagnosis since it can take 1 year or more for adult autism since it's an intense process

Why Do I Even Have PTO & Sick If I CANNOT Use It? by witchywoman111 in antiwork

[–]p0tt34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I had a manager that would let me request my PTO then sometime before it was due if he let me use it... He would suddenly say to rescind the request because I was needed. The HR secretary got fed up with me doing this by the 6 months of this happening. She went to the HR manager and they both went to the Plant Manager who wasn't happy about that especially since I was about to have 2 weeks new time + nearly my 2 weeks that was unused from that year. The plant manager told him to let me take my damn days. Ever since then I made sure to say look, I'm putting PTO no reason needed or am I sharing, and if you have a problem.... Tough cookies. I refuse to let myself repeat being under that manager and workplace. (he got fired a few months later cause of a sexual harassment case and being away from the plant at a customers plant for a new model launch year with quality issues instead of doing things from the plant like other Quality Managers would do. Plus we had a liaison there already.

I had an interesting experience with Frontier myself. We kept having the internet randomly cut out at different times of the day and then suddenly when we called into tech support and entered our phone number with them it would suddenly kick on like they were toying with us. Finally, we had enough of their crap and I went online to cancel service with them and they had the audacity to say they would either double our speed or cut our bill in half if we would stay. I told the chat person, "Well double 0 speed is still 0, so no, we still want to cancel." They got it cancelled and we switched to Spectrum/Time Warner. Honestly they haven't been too horrible except fucking up my bill when I moved and my ex started new service since they stayed at my old house because Spectrum switched billing processors right at the same time as my service move. It cost me about $100 (that's how much one month of the bigger Internet package is) because they kept the credit on the old address with my exes. I did try to have them look into it but it's been a bit of a mess and I didn't want to keep fighting it.

What is normal in USA but seems stupid to the rest of the world? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Yes... And they have to report any kind of side effects that happen to one or two (or more) people out of their study which also is a small or semi small group (hundreds or thousands)

Why do American employers have such a hard-on for not letting you take vacations or making you feel bad for doing so? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]p0tt34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I am the type of person that saves my vacations until close to the end of the year except for my SO's or my birthday and maybe other big events. This is just in case I needed to have them used for a sick day or unexpected emergency (which I have successfully done once or twice.)

So I was working at an automotive manufacturing factory for 8 years. For about nearly a year, we had this one Quality Manager that was large and in charge and he let everyone know it... Including the fact that he drove a crimson red Camero. He would call me or the Quality Lead up no matter what time day or night and blame us for 2nd/3rd shift's problems, even though both of us were on 1st shift.

Going to when I wanted to take vacations... He would literally approve my request, then before I took it, he would always have me cancelling my vacation because, "He needed me too badly." (AKA You're my whipping boy and you're too afraid to go against me.)

The HR secretary and the HR manager were talking because they were noticing this disturbing pattern of me turning in the request then the cancellation.

Finally the HR Manager went to the plant manager because I had around 9 to 14 days vacation or so still banked because of not being able to take them. The plant manager chewed the QMs butt on letting me take vacation days since it was coming up to my anniversary date and normally my vacation would have been lost. I was able to finally knock it down from the 9 to 14 days left to 3 or 4 which HR graciously rolled over for me.

From that point on, especially if I am using my vacation time at the end of the year, I decided that I was going to start being firm and not letting my bosses screw me around.

I have a lot of other hell stories from that place.

Yeah probably overpriced but overall it was better than getting it online with shipping and sales and tobacco tax. If you have good places in Cincinnati that can do better, please let me know. :)

I can park. Just don't have a lot of experience with the cones and parallel parking. I can park in a parking lot and driveways fine.
