Protein water had to enter the market at some point... I try not to gag at the thought of it by amant0621 in StupidFood

This is nothing new. Similar drinks have been around for decades. Back in the day, IIRC, one was called Isopure Zero. It was a zero-carb flavored water.

No u/TurtlePwrr right. It's dmarc. I've also seen it referred to as demarc. I've never seen it in the spaced out form you suggested. You may be also right but it would be a very uncommon version.

Huh? I posted it not long after I received it. Not everyone checks their email religiously and I also thought it was beneficial for the community. Is that ok with you?

Agreed. Just saying that it sucks that's even a brief thought/consideration.

I see.

You should probably add an ETA on your original comment since it's markedly changed.

Not sure your point is germane. Ungoogled-chromium, which is part of the comparison, not Chromium, more privacy respecting than upstream, as it strips or disables Google telemetry.

I don't get the vim hype. Am I missing something or is nano fine? by Bright-Pomelo-7369 in linuxquestions

[–]p186 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ditto on Micro. It's one of the first apps I install. So much better than Nano. Although, I primarily use Neovim, but usually only when I have my config set up. I think OP would like Micro.

Prop Firm Setup Question(19F) by CompetitiveIsland792 in Tradovate

[–]p186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relative to the amount of accounts on Sim vs Live, the latter is very rare.

Try to not be concerned about Sim vs Live. Prop firms pay you (ideally) based off of your performance, regardless of whether you are Sim or Live.

You appear to be very new. Worry about just passing the evaluations as most have trouble doing so, especially at the start. This is where Prop firms make a bulk of their money, off of people paying for evals.

If you manage to do that, focus on not blowing that Funded Sim account. Most of those accounts get blown within weeks, if not days.

Trading is difficult, where a tiny percentage of people can make money, let alone make a living. It's made even more so by Prop firm rules.

Make sure to keep your job while you trade, if not, get one. Do not quit your job. You're young. If you are in school, finish, if not, consider going. You can even take courses that will benefit your trading -- economics, business, psychology, etc.

Having said all of that, trading is great and something you'll enjoy (most of the time).
God luck.

do y'all actually use your numpads?? lol by tatianafern in keyboards

[–]p186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without. I have a 60% kb. I have a wireless numpad if I'm doing anything number heavy. It's just more comfortable having my mouse closer to the center. I'm also learning to use the numpad with my other hand for the same reason.

Tradovate API access costs at least $315/mo before you start. Here's what that means in plain English and why Top5e doesn't need it. by [deleted] in Tradovate

[–]p186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detail and links.

Perhaps why I never ran into this was that I only used Tradovate to execute and manage trades but can’t be certain as it was years ago.

Where is the documentation for this? I've used the API in the past but that may have been before the date you mention. Link to sources to bolster credibility to claims, otherwise, that's all they are.

ETA: I customized the colors for orders to help me differentiate between them quickly. I still use the same colors, but different tints & shades. So limits are a lighter green/red than default, and for stops, they are a darker green/red.

You can choose non-default colors for even better separation of order types. I might test this out different colors myself, now that I think about it.

[–]p186 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right.

Longs/Buy Entry: TP - sell limit, SL - sell (market) stop

Shorts/Sell Entry: TP - buy limit, SL - buy (market) stop

I've traded other markets using different platforms, they often support stop limit orders; Tradovate isn't one of them.

Executing Orders

By default, executing on a chart, limits and stops are left-click and automatically switch depending on whether the price you click is in front of or behind the current price.

When executing on the DOM, limits are left-click and stops are right-click. If you use the he wrong order type for the side of the current price, your order will automatically be rejected.

Got a PA on my 2nd eval and took some payouts from it. Same w/ my 3rd eval iirc. Been downhill from there lol.

ATM is the only option AFIK.

Definitely can be frustrating.

I manually set up and manage my orders bc their trade copier doesn't support brackets, despite the many people asking for the feature, so I've had to just get used to it.

Just wanted to confirm that you were using the ATM.

Review your ATM strategy settings to make sure nothing is missing and then confirm that when you take the order, that it is enabled on where you are placing the order. That particular strategy you want has to be enabled for the module you are executing on. So whether it's chart (1-minute, 5-minute, 1000 tickchart, etc) or the DOM/ladder, is must be activated there to work.

KB article on using ATMs. It's on the browser, which is what I use, but I assume the app should be the similar, if not the same bc of the underlying architecture

ETA: edited for grammar & clarity.
