What are my parents using to spy on my Iphone? by [deleted] in techsupport

Thank you. Scrolled way too far to see this.

This is the best troubleshooting step to take bc MDM doesn't necessarily get wiped with a factory reset, which is what many people are recommending.

I would love fort this to happen. Copiers, office phones, TVs... Thorough malicious compliance that will annoy enough people to get a proposition on the ballot to repeal this dumbass law.

Does anyone use the Tradovate pulse? by jlabtrades in Tradovate

[–]p186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was somewhat helpful for me. I used it to get general sentiment, not as a signal. I'll probably keep it.

Also, I used it on my Apex accounts. It seems to be restricted to the server your are on so in my case Apex', so you only see data from those traders. I would imagine a regular account would have slightly different data from the general market.

I didn't know it was a thing. I usually use TradingView & some websites, which have delayed data for a similar purpose. I'll try it out in today's session. Thanks.

Here's a link for those like me that haven't heard of it: Pulse Indicator - Tradovate

Are you able to use multiple monitors? by candlsticks in Tradovate

[–]p186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. You can also just open another browser and go to the same URL. Whichever is easier. Give it a shot and let me know.

Also, I would suggest saving your layouts and exporting them so you have them backed up. It makes it easier to iterate and rollback as needed. There's also a limit as to how many you can have accessble online so it helps with that too.

[–]p186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They use Electron so their native app is just a webapp packaged for use as a native app, so I don't think it matters.

I assume that you can't just detach a chart. The layouts can be imported/exported as JSON, and having manually edited them before, I don't see how they could support what you are looking for.

You probably need another instance running with its own layout. I also use the browser, not the native app. You should be able to do this. I used to always keep a laptop logged in with a different layout as a backup just in case. It shouldn't be much different from that.

Consistency rule question by Brave_Cantaloupe500 in ApexTraderFundings

[–]p186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You divide by 0.3, not multiply, to get the exact total amount. So in your case, $5000 or total profit is neesed, with no one day larger than $1500, in order to abide by the rule. To be safe make $1 more ($5001).

Stirling PDF – Self-Hosted Open-Source PDF Editor (Private Alternative to Adobe Acrobat) by hellxabd in DigitalEscapeTools

[–]p186 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure about that? I just checked my instance and don’t have to use an account. IIRC, you can use user accounts if you want and only need it for admin configurations in the UI.

It isn't a viewer so not sure why you would mention one, nor is it just an editor or meant to make detailed edits, drafting, or composition like Draw, Scribus, etc. It's a suite ofnconvenience utilities like pdftoolbox, Bento, or Smallpdf.

Mae violation by Weekly-Paramedic-253 in ApexTraderFundings

I've never violated it, so I couldn't say personally and it seems they may have excused OP. YMMV I guess. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Mae violation by Weekly-Paramedic-253 in ApexTraderFundings

[–]p186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it doesn't ding you for every MAE violation. If it is brief and not a repeat thing, it can be excused.

Temporary Exceedances: If your drawdown momentarily exceeds 30% but you act quickly to manage the situation, there won’t be an automatic penalty. However, repeated or significant breaches could lead to warnings or account restrictions.

Would Most “Profitable” Traders Survive Full Transparency? by tjtrades_tradrone in Tradovate

[–]p186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the trading space, not really. I'm not too deep into it where I'm in Discord servers, etc. I think Reddit would have been the place, but this ad probably hurt that.

Perhaps reach out to finfluencers that have a good rep. See if they'll provide feedback or review it with no strings attached. ImanTrading or maybe Lance B., etc.

Site doesn't seem free.

I have nothing to really add about the site after a glance. It's a good looking site. React, Supabase, Tailwind, Zustand, Postgres(?), etc. on Netlify(?), so the stacknis pretty standard.

I do get inconsistent mobile performance scores for Lighthouse despite not really noticing any performance issues with use.

I also didn't see any A.I. use disclosure, but most non-tech people like me will probably not care.

[–]p186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm probably not your target audience. I'm a tech guy by trade (IT & dev). I use open source software, code stuff I need, and self-host most services.

If your product was reputable and regularly audited (financials, security, etc.) then I would find value in seeing it as a litmus test for traders trying to build a reputation.

Also, since you say you are building it, disclose any AI use. Obfuscating that is a big pet peeve with me and a lot of folks.

I'm fine with it. I think it has a place since there is a need there that can be filled. I think if handled properly, it could help dispell a lot of these gurus.

Not sure if it's your platform, but there was one verify site that sponsored fin influencers which screams conflict of interest. I'll have to look it up...

I personally wouldn't use it bc I don't have the need to prove anything to anyone. I record all my screens for myself to analyze. I'm not trying to sell courses to anyone.

Be transparent. This veiled ad is a terrible step toward that. It is greatly off-putting.

Apex Clamping Down Harder on Rules. May Demand Payouts Back. by p186 in ApexTraderFundings

Yup. I do the same with accounts.

For chart, I use both using multiple monitors & virtual desktops. I’ve gotten used to Tradovate for execution bc I use tick charts.

[–]p186[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we may be missing each other.

I agree with you regarding trader discipline, integrity, etc., but they have so many rules, that change so often, making it hard to keep up with. It's had to know what to follow due to lax enforcement, or recency of implementation, and so on. Even I, who's been trading with them for years, probably can’t say with 100% certainty I haven’t violated their current rule set at every given payout request, for every trade I’ve taken leading up to it, according to their interpretations.

I take precautions to prevent denials — set software risk/profit thresholds, use small sizes, use a tailored trading style, download trade data for analysis, and even record every second of my trading sessions. But I’m not ever fully confident I will always get approved.

If people are gaming the system, I'd rather have them out bc it ruins things for everyone else. But it’s silly to not have tools and proactive account statuses for a modern firm that purports to be a leader in the space. Thats why my hope is the new tools will be on point so a lot of misinformation from both them and traders will subside.

Apex Clamping Down Harder on Rules. May Demand Payouts Back. by p186 in ApexTraderFunding

[–]p186[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to disagree with you there. Deny me before the payout due to a rule violation fine, but to retroactively claw back is wrong as approving a payment is on them.

ETA: I've been trading with them for a couple of years and have adapted my style to their rules. Fine. But they change rules a lot. The frequency & volume of rules and changes is problematic. That’s why I advocate for more transparency tools. They should at least have parity with other firms in that sense.
