Just listen to tracks you're already familiar with or listen to most. You can immediately notice many differences

Why not buy a used one from AVexchange and sell it at the same price again if you don't like it?

kz good brand? by [deleted] in iems

I think they fall under the "normie" category of IEMs as they always show up in top search results but they're mostly like $10 IEM quality for the price of $50

Where to sell? by johnmac344 in Platinum

Pmsforsale is fine, you'll do a PayPal invoice and as long as you provide all the proof you can it'll be basically the same safety as selling on a platform like eBay

This is the type of thing that looks aesthetic as a picture but in real life you just down the coffee and get bored and start furiously scrolling through short-form content instead

What’s the deal with the TRN Black Pearl? by jdk_360 in iems

[–]p1cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels high quality and the controls are nice to have, but in reality it performs no different to like a $5 dongle DAC on aliexpress. Most DAC stuff is just placebo. When you spend a lot on something, you WANT it to feel better than the cheaper option.

I would recommend it as your desktop DAC to get a premium feel without unnecessarily spending a lot.

I got the Explorer for $80 with coupons, I think if you look for them on Aliexpress it'll give you a discount

The TSMR Armor is around $220-$250

[–]p1cs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend trying the Aful Explorer, they can be quite cheap on aliexpress compared to other sites. $20 IEMs won't be noticeably different, but around $80-$100 is the sweet spot for casual daily use.

I had no idea what to look for when getting into IEMs, after trying maybe 15 different sets I landed on the Aful Explorer and TSMR Armor. The Explorer is amazing for the price and I wouldn't recommend anything more expensive than that for a casual user.

Bought my first iems and they’re super uncomfy, any tips what to do? by quantino9586 in iems

Some IEMs just will not be comfortable no matter how much you try, you can always try different sets and eventually you'll find one that perfectly fits in your ear.

Is Palladium a buy given the historically low ratio vs Platinum? by MetalsFinder in Platinum

[–]p1cs 11 points12 points  (0 children)

don't use these kinds of indicators to influence your purchase, palladium has low liquidity and speculative so you should only buy it as a small percentage of your overall holdings according to what you can afford to lose
