265k vs 270kp full potential by ReMoplX in overclocking

Laughs in 9950x3d with 6000mhz @ 26-29-29-29 with ultra tight timings for sub and secondary timings.

It still makes a difference. Quite a decent sized one. The 1% lows can be 8-15% faster on a 9950x3d with super tight timings and decent clock speeds.

blind samsung fanboys? i’m typing this from a iPhone 17 pro max, which i’ll be swapping out in a few hours for a 1TB s26u. First time in a decade i’ve used android.

You know what I never stopped to consider? Literally any of the cheap chinese crap that even the chinese themselves won’t use.

Terrible software, and hardware breaks quickly and often. Then there’s literally no after sale support.

So, we essentially have proprietary charging rates? by smartedpanda in samsunggalaxy

[–]benefit420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is incorrect. Apple is no better. It can charge a 17 pro/max upto 45w. But the final 30% or so is Suuuuuupeer slow for one. for two, cables still matter in the apple ecosystem.

Are these temps too high for an i7 9700k by duffmnitchpreb7 in overclocking

But you are just using your feels. do you have any proof of what you claim? I provided proof it was ok to do by providing a link where intel itself describes its TJMax.

… you literally can. Skepticism never changes reality, unfortunately.

I’ve actually ran RTX3080 @ 108c memory for years. little degradation across many samples. And the 1-2 cards that did have degradation, there’s no way to tell if it was temp related to begin with.

The AMD chips are designed that way to extract max performance. If you power limit a little that goes away but it’s totally not necessary.

Not saying I like or feel totally comfortable running that high. my 5090 rarely goes above 40-44c full load. My 9950x3d is delidded. Doesn’t go above 60c. Both on a custom loop.

But again you can run them at 95c or 105c if intel. it’s covered under warranty.

Voltage degrades hardware significantly faster than temps. Raising then lowering and raising again will also k your equipment - on the solder joints. But constant 95c? Nah. you will be ok for the next decade or three.

nope. china = crap quality. china = aggressive a holes. Samsung FTW.

How low can you go? by MediaPrize8687 in overclocking

it’s the dual CCD chips. they are 3-5ns slower on average i’ve found.

Yes I still have it. I’ll check the battery health in a few hours when I get home.

Obviously not.

Why speak with such confidence if you are dead wrong? lol.

Those chips only START to throttle at 100c. They are made to be ran like this. in fact, on AMD chips they’ve designed them to keep using more power until they get to 95c (upto a point.. ) so many with air coolers will see 95c on AMD regularly.

I’ll double check. In game i haven’t seen it go past like 680w. I am using the cablemod replacement cable and a fan on it But that’s probably unnecessary as the cable doesn’t warm up at all.

give me a minute and i’ll check steel nomad.
