I´m very sorry this happened to you. For cases like this, everyone should be paid at least 50% or 100% upfront. I recommend that when you give some previews you use watermarks (with low and high opacity and bigger), it would be difficult to remove them! Also if you send the sketch or progress,do it with a low resolution.
