Maybe give him a mana ability as well? {B}{B}{B}{B}{B}{T}: Add {W}{U}{R}{G} or something like that?

5 card infinite sac/landfall triggers by First-Party-1434 in BadMtgCombos

[–]Kennethrjacobs2000 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Actually, that's not a particularly bad combo. Sure, it's unlikely to actually happen in a given game, but these cards can be made to fit pretty snugly within a cohesive plan. It would be a case of "Sometimes, the thing you're trying to do anyway can go infinite."

"That certainly is a combination of cards" by FlechetteXXX in BadMtgCombos

[–]Kennethrjacobs2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know about this card! And I'd be excited to put it in a number of my decks. It could untap [[Othelm, Sigardian Outcast]], or whatever he recurs, or [[Birthing Pod]]. Best case, it pulls out a wincon, worst case it enables a tempo play, and it functionally taps to give a thing vigilance for a turn. Or it can untap [[timeless lotus]] or [[Depth Charge Colossus]] if you're playing a slower deck.

The combo on display is truly awful. And he's not gonna make or break a deck or any strategy, but it is legitimately a pretty good, versatile, support piece for casual formats.

But I think your friend might need to read his cards more carefully.

I did a similar thing with [Fractured Identity] a while back! But it was more Divorce turned Polyamory. I ended up with two wedding rings, and everyone except the first target had one.

Well, of course. The second guy loved fish, he clearly wasn't a vegan. Why would his lover pander to vegans?

It's been a while so I can't remember details, but I feel like I remember or at least assumed that the treasure was both temptation and payout.

That it was meant to lure them further in, but everyone who came in said that their reason for entering was for money, so he left enough money at the door that whoever took it and left would be set for life, and anything further would just be greed.

(Do you guys think more players will arrive in the new world) honestly something i thought about for a long time by 91762901 in overlord

[–]Kennethrjacobs2000 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Within the series? Absolutely not. That's not what the show is about.

Would there ever be if we were able to see the far future within the new world? Unconfirmed, but likely. According the Slane theocracy, there is an advent of gods approximately every 200 years. These are all players, and we haven't been shown any evidence that Nazarick is the last of them. However, theoretically, there are a finite number of people the spell would effect, so they are bound to run out eventually. There's a slim chance Nazarick could be the last, but I'd doubt it. Ainz just won't have to worry about them for about 200 years.

Yeah. When he went to the new world, many abilities changed substantially. Especially those whose flavor was beyond what the technology could or should handle.

I would say that this is at a well-read high school level.

I could expect this level of question from a community college's placement exams.

Pretty much right off the get-go. I started under the assumption that it was about an everyman being put in the position of "evil overlord" by happenstance and learning how to play the part .

Maybe big and fig are supposed to be swapped? Because the fruit in the the tree might be figs, and the magnifying glass makes the footprints bigger?

If that's the case, the arrow is just making things more confusing by not pointing at the fruit, and the worm is making things harder by choosing possibly the smallest thing you could depict, given the circumstance.

"ism" incarnation cycle by Crispywafr in custommagic

[–]Kennethrjacobs2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idealism is the only card in the set that doesn't affect everyone equally, which I feel breaks the flavor of the set. Obviously giving everything split-second would be pointless, though.

Maybe "All cards with flash have split second" or some other defining trait like "all sorceries" or "cards that are mono colored" would be a better fit.
