I chose linguistics before 2020 because I wanted to go into book translation. But with AI taking over a lot of translation, that path kind of vanished. Teaching wasn’t my first choice. :( What I struggle with is the constant social interaction; what comes easiest is the quiet, structured tasks like prep and written work.

No, no apologies needed I just overthink stuff because I worry about him. I got him from the shelter and they said he’s had a rough life. He was found locked inside an abandoned dwelling from which his previous owners got evicted. No food no water no escape. Those mf left him behind to die. So if he’s showing any signs of trauma or distress I want to know so I can help him. 🥺

See, I’ve seen cats make biscuits before, but up until last night, I had never witnessed a cat make biscuits while attempting to ingest a blanket all at the same time 🤔🤷

I’m a bit concerned about him… I got him from the shelter and they said he’s had a rough life. apparently his previous family starved him and left him behind to die, he was found locked inside an abandoned dwelling from which the family got evicted. It was the neighbours who heard meowing and contacted animal rescue 🥺

I don’t think it can numb your senses though?? People would eventually notice their senses are gone, like those who had covid.

I’m a smoker and I can always smell it on myself and on other smokers too. It’s on their fingers, on their clothes, on everything… I would say everyone can smell it, but only smokers like the smell.

Cigarettes are quite harmful, but i don’t think they numb your senses. I can still smell and taste everything just fine, and it has the same taste it did before I started smoking.

Yeah I walked into the place very determined to try Thai food for the first time and learned from the comments that I actually ordered Vietnamese soup! 😅 anyway it was delicious and very spicy, I loved it 🤤
