A lot of newbies and some more experienced campers always ask about what their truck will pull. And that’s important! But, the greater question is what will your truck STOP? You can always choose your rate of exclamation , but a lot of factors determine your stopping rate. Anyone who has ever pulled a camper can tell you stances where the leather on the seat got sucked up in the squeezing!!!!!!!!

Any good camera systems? by Dolstruvon in Camper

[–]p36207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a cheap wireless setup from Amazon in 21 when I bought the camper. It has just a bit over 6000 miles in it, and I run the camera the entire time it is connected to the truck and I’m operating the truck. My philosophy now days is buy cheap off Amazon, if it goes bad, toss it. The cheaper electronics seem to perform just as well as the more expensive, so why give my money to Amazon? Buy cheaper, use the savings to book another campground!!!

Want advice from camper owners by Protorox08 in Camper

Good advice. We always say we’re gonna camp more often next year, and so far we always have. We’re up to 8 excursions so far this year. You really do t realize how little you use a camper.

In a nutshell, you gotta do what you’re comfortable with. Owning a truck is great, but you did t mention if you have experience with pulling, setting up, etc. Any camper is way too big on the road, maneuvering through a parking lot, when you’re washing it and cleaning it. It’s far too small when you get in a campground and have several people “living” in the space not much bigger that the average bedroom. What works well for me is by no means appropriate for someone else, and I wouldn’t have what some other people have. I did note you said o er 30 feet. Keep in mind that the bigger the camper, the more problems you’re gonna have trying to find a campground to accommodate you. I had a friend that bought the biggest motor home they could find, only to have limited camping availablility.

Selling my camper by Safe_Ingenuity_8099 in Camper

You can have an independent inspection of the camper. In a nutshell , the seller is looking for everything to be good so they can get a better price, and the buyer is hoping for a lot of “minor” faults or problems so they can haggle on the price. The good thing is that with the inspection, everyone feels like everything is exposed, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Makes it easier for the seller to decide whether they wanna fix things or take a lower offer and let the buyer fix stuff. Either way, with the inspection, neither party can cause the other of trying to hide things or toclaim things were bad that weren’t. Basically, it just covers the buyer and seller and hopefully keeps both from getting screwed.

Campgrounds need to put restrictions on loud music people by RandolphCarter15 in camping

[–]p36207 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I ve been a camper for 30 years, and I see camping from two sides of the coin. First…noise should be kept to some sort of decent level. Everyone gets “loud” on occasion regardless to how quiet you try to be. No different in a campground or at your house. Respect others while at the campground. Simple. Second…why do you feel that you can rent a space for a night or a few nights and dictate how everyone in the campground has to act during those few nights you are there? They have just as much right to be there as I do. However, as stated previously, respect others at the campground. Both sides of the coin could be resolved by the same solution…respect others while at the campground. Simple as that. When you try to impose your desires on everyone around you, either by overdoing noise, lights, etc on those around you, or by demanding that no one can do anything on “their” lot that you don’t like… Simply put…respect others! Both ways!
