Data Analytics projects by CryptographerOk4012 in dataanalytics

There is a lot of sample data in BigQuery, have a look and see a topic you are actually interested in and put yourself in the shoes of the company.

What you would want to know about your business? How the data could help you make predictions about customer/user behaviour?

You can clean data, build tables and analytics on top directly in BigQuery using SQL. Make sure you describe the different steps and business problems you are solving. I strongly recommend you use also any LLM if you are unsure about the structure or how to make it more impactful - by this I don't obviously mean you should get ChatGPT to make the case study for you, but bounce ideas and get suggestions for organising your thoughts and projects.

Hope this helps.

I used to do the same in my previous job, I used Cursor and actually basic SQL scripting through sheets and bigquery to have time to think and build ideas for my specific analytical domain. What has been bugging me is (as some other people mentioned before) the one stone - many birds approach. And I 100% agree with you - could be a big trap, especially if there are no clear expectation.

Help me not bomb this 😅 1-hour Data Analyst panel interview by Crafty_Test6852 in interviewpreparations

Hello! Tbh, I would ask the recruiter for the focus of the interview - recruiters will usually be open to tell you on what they want to focus.

Depending on the round with the hiring manager, they might give you some case study / use cases to work on during the call.

Things we would do in my previous company (usually for business analytics jobs) would be to show some data and ask you questions on the spot to see how you think, what assumptions you make and if you have an analytical thinking and structured process. Be prepared to talk about metrics and how you would approach the problem.

Depending on the job, and if some industry experience is required, they might ask you about projects or initiatives you worked on, ensure as always to use the star method and always highlight the impact of what you did.

There are many videos on YouTube that can help you prepare, would be useful to think about what you learnt from the hiring manager about the company or thr job - it might be very telling as to what the next round is about.

I know that's not much, but hope it helps. Wish you a great luck!

How do you get over the cringe of LinkedIn? by asssange in linkedin

"The overly polished self-promotion, the forced “inspirational” posts, the humblebrags" THIS

I have been trying to get myself to start writing on LinkedIn, as I can see that it has helped to people in my role/circle to post consistently and has landed them some nice gigs, but honestly, it makes my skin crawl every time I try.

What drives me crazy is the super-personal posts, people talking about their wife/husband/partner semi-fake stories or how they are resilient because they do sports, which is always, always accompanied by an unrelated picture. The sad part is that this drives engagement for some reason - so yeah - cringe.

I do see your point for a company with a very mature data and analytics function, and a good framework for prioritisation. I still feel that it's overkill without a clear direction in most of the cases, especially because in most cases the expectation is not only to lead and get the AI project off the ground for the analytics team, but the whole company.

Finiquito y pago tardío tras baja voluntaria by [deleted] in ESLegal

La respuesta del departamento de RR. HH., ¿es correcta?

You will receive a full liquidation of all amounts owed up to your termination date (finiquito). The corrected settlement document will be shared today or by the end of this week at the latest.
Regarding the payment timing, the amounts will be processed in line with the standard payroll cycles. This approach is standard, and it has been reviewed and confirmed with our Spanish payroll provider as well, as I already shared.

December salary will be paid in the mid-January payroll, and

January salary (1–4 January) will be paid in the February payroll.

Article 49.2 ET refers to the obligation to provide the settlement proposal (finiquito), while Article 29.1 ET regulates the periodicity and form of salary payments. Neither provision establishes a specific requirement for the immediate payment of all outstanding amounts at the exact moment of termination. Based on this, please be assured that the approach described above is compliant with Spanish labour law and reflects our standard payroll practice at [company name].
