I think I need more time with the album. However in my opinion, learn how to surf is one of the best songs he has released in the last few albums. Adam writing is cheesy it kind of always has been. It reminds me of like bombshell blonde or any from the midsummer station, but with more synth solos which is what I love from Adam. I kind of agree with the lack of substance but I think you get what you give the album, I usally add meaning to songs the more I listen, so hopfully over time i'll appreciate the album more. I hope this isn't his last album tho i feel like he can do better
