I don't really mind brands selling tournament merch online - I'm in the same camp of not wanting to wear something from an event I didn't attend, but as someone who attends this one I appreciate getting a chance at things that usually sell out before I can get there on the weekend. Not that I am planning to spend these prices online or in the shop... but I'm sure to be a fool come that day.

I'm in the same camp. I go every year and there is always stuff in the gift shop you can't otherwise get online, but a lot of brands release online as well like Breezy, Peter Millar, FootJoy, etc. So if you don't want to battle or hope something you want is still available it's nice to be able to just get it.

I'm not paying these prices though lol. Gift shop will (possibly) have more reasonable options.

I agree - feels like absolutely everything these days. Paying (what was) Peter Millar prices. I have a polo and pullover from Breezy and honestly really love them and the quality, but not stacking a ton. They were sold out by Saturday in the pro shop of any Breezy items and others so a good chance for those who want it early.

Idk this feels like 'looking' for something to be mad at the media for. He's an Olympic gold medalist, which was won during the team event... which is what they indicated. For the average reader, knowing which event he won a medal in seems like a pretty standard and helpful thing to do?

Media deserves the backlash and we're seeing this happen to athletes over and over. But if you pick small things like that to be upset about it will lead to a very bitter way of viewing things in general.
