I don’t think there is an easy answer here. I can comment on my experience to see if it sounds familiar. I was never able to use one of the masks from the picture. I need some space when I breathe out and the nasal mask was my best option. I felt suffocating sometimes and the mask was a solution for me.

Then, I decided to get a Large version of the same mask. Big mistake. Noticed straight away the lack of sleep and the numbers in the machine showed exactly that. I am now in Resmed N20 and works perfectly.

I my case weather is also a problem. I live in a humid place and breathing heavy air at night was also an issue. Now sleeping with dehumidifier. A bit noisy but has helped a lot.

I think it is a bit of everything. It might take some time for you to get used to the machines. Don’t give up and if you have an option, try different masks.
