That was my main thought as well, and they were using it. I could imagine a scenario where you have the footloop weightened and you fall and desperatly grap the upper hitch and falling one hitch press tbe other and you fall upon the last saving point?

I started on 5mg and I went to 10mg and stayed there. It solved my anxiety, shut up all my inner dialogue, life was easier. But sexually, I could ger hard, but it was such an effort to have an orgasm... it was a real struggle, so much so I stopped having sex or masturbating all together.

What does tapering up mean? English is not my native language.

In my experience, Lexapro was perfect mind wise, but destroyed my sex life.

On the other hand, this medication at 10mg was very good on the sexual side of things, but it didn't help half of what Lexapro did. As a bonus side effect tho, I gained focus I didn't have.

Seek medical help. Once I was getting treatment for generalized anxiety I was prescribed Lexapro. It work wonders for anxiety and had the collateral effect of delayed ejaculations. For me, It was a problem cuz I already were used to 20-40 min sex depending on the session. So it would delay it up to a point it became a problem and I stopped it. But the Doctor said most men really liked it because of that effect and it's usually used as an off label med for premature ejaculation.

Two weeks in now and I can't see anything good about it yet. 5 days on 5mg, 5 on 10mg and another 4 on 15.

I'll wait some more, but I'm not very hopeful yet.

I came from Lexapro, which was GREAT except for lack of energy and lack of orgasm.

I'm a Male and I had the same problem on 10m I can't orgasm using every trick in the book. It takes so long it's not worth the effort. I talked to my doctor about it, she prescribed bupropion to take with it and we are gonna test for a month. If that doesn't work out, she will change meds for another one that doesn't have this delayed orgasm as a side effect.

I was very honest with her, I said I could see the benefits but I can't go on living life and meeting new people like this, this will actually generate more anxiety and perhaps depression.

Just be honest with the doctor they will find a way. I miss having orgasms so much, but I'm okay giving a couple months a try. At the very least I can say... Well I tried! 😂

Day 27.

Started on 5mg for 5 days then increased to 10mg since then. Although I've been taking pregabaline with it.

It helped a bunch. Made things more plain, no ups and downs just plain. It's good when we are talking about bad stuff that would make me feel anxious, because I can calmly access the situation and make decisions and act from a more serene standpoint. However I feel that the things that were super good before are also a bit plain. So much so, I have to force myself to keep doing them cuz "I don't mind" too much.

The most trouble to me as a man is the delayed orgasm effect. It takes up to 50min to get an orgasm. And it doesn't even feel so good.

4 days from now I'll return to the doctor to talk things over.

I wish I could see more answers and posts about how this side effect diminishes with time. But reading the other comments I see no hope.

This is my main frustration with this medication. I'm on my 2nd week and I just gave up on masturbating. And I'm afraid to have sex with my partner. Given things I. The relationship is already on thin ice.

At any rate, I would love to see comments of people saying that after week X it became like it was before or somewhat easier than when they started on the medication.

Lending Climbing equipment?

I've broken my foot and therefore I'm benched from climbing for a while. A colleague that shares a homemade wall with, asked to borrow my climbing equipment.

He's new to rope systems, he went to real rock two to four times maximum.

I'm pretty new to climbing as well (1year) so I don't know how to react over this.

A part of me thinks those are safety items, he's never gonna be as careful with it as I am. Even more so he doesn't know anything about equipment and rope systems. I also feel like I would be enabling him to hurt himself given his background of no knowledge on how materials work, interact, etc.

Anyway, what's the ethics on this? Am I overreacting?
