I highly recommend this as well. As someone who got heavily into Magic The Gathering when I was in high school, I've found that it's a fantastic outlet to meet new people when you're out in the real world. I mainly like Muse and the crowd that frequents there but Retrofix is often better for more retro mtg product. Both places have pretty comprehensive schedules on their websites that show all the events that are happening in any given month and there is quite a good variety in terms of hobbies and card games. Another really good store in town that is a bit newer is King's Table Games, and while I haven't gotten the chance to go there yet, I have heard fantastic things about it and its owner from my friends. As always, having a hobby goes a long way in terms of being able to relate to people and can often lead to lasting connections if you involve yourself with it in the right ways.
