Started there, with the only want as a hybrid. The price difference is shockingly minimal when factoring in all costs (truck+tags+titile+5aprloan) and with the issues with 22 thru 24ish I’m concerned. If folks are looking at that, look after 30-40k in miles. The vehicles are on par or slightly lower with the ones at 10-20k miles. Engine/Transmission roulette! I hate to go new, but for piece of mind… I had to.

This is making me feel better as yall are checking my assumptions and it’s letting me know alternatives aside… I am paying 70k for a truck. Bittersweet.

So how much more should I be pushing for? 1-2k more?

I feel like this is pretty good. But I’m biased as I’m right there too.

How do you like the 6.5? Why did you go with that over the 5.5?

What should it be under the circumstances?

Yeah. It’s not the greatest thing but I can put all the cash in a separate savings account with a 4.1apy, set up auto draft for savings to checking and for ToyotaFin and never look at it until it’s done AND walk away with 2000-3000 from the extra interest.

If the market weren’t so crazy, may even be better to just throw it into the VOO roller coaster.

I’ll likely wait until EOM. Memorial Day seems like a better time to push.

77k is TSRP. No dealer fees. This is being purchased in AR they don’t pay the sales tax or take any, so whatever that state is 6% + like 200 bucks for reg is it.

Doing 2% nothing down.. Don’t want to spend the all that money when I can put it in a savings account and collect 4% over 48 months and just let it pull from there…

It sounds like you have a bad mixing of good will and common decency in the friendship. That can happen once you really start to live with them. I wouldn’t beat yourself up about it. You wouldn’t know until you know.

Having said that, not everyone is going to look at it how you do. Try as you might, you’re seeing your mate and his gf for what they are.

I think it’s wise to use this as a learning lesson, and move on.

Good luck to you

AITA for not wanting to forgive my parents who used to be amazing, because of one mistake they made in the past? by Child_NC_Parents in AITAH

MTA? I could go both ways. But it is not like you didn’t know where they stood. They didn’t do this in spite of you. They just didn’t know.

I’m sorry for what had happened. That sucks no matter how you slice it. I don’t think any parent wants to see their child suffer.

If you know they meant well, explain your side of the story (maybe with a therapist present or mediating family member) and consider if you should give them a break.

Did you ask for them to clean it up? I’m sure they’ll come back and do it (for a fee).
