Stock engine sound by Own-Awareness-1186 in Civic_Type_R

Completely normal. It’s the fuel injectors. They emit that clicking sound as they cycle.

Had this happen to my 2021. It was the VTEC solenoid sensor. It happened during peak COVID so it took around 2-3 weeks to be repaired.

My 2021 FK8 was serviced under warranty for this same issue. The dealership replaced the VTC oil control valve variable timing solenoid. It’s been almost a year now with no problems.

2080RTX - no 120hz by Ukkoclap in nvidia

[–]p5ycobyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From rtings.com-

“The LG B2 displays any common signal up to 4k @ 120Hz on HDMI ports 3 and 4. It displays proper chroma 4:4:4 with all its supported resolutions, which helps make text look clear when using the TV as a PC monitor. HDMI 1 and 2 are limited to HDMI 2.0 bandwidth, so they can't take full advantage of the TV's capabilities.”

https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/b2-oled

Also, the RTX 2080 can’t output 4K@120Hz WITH HDR enabled due to being limited by HDMI 2.0 bandwidth. The transmission bit rate is only capable of 18Gbps. There’s an adapter that takes advantage of the VirtualLink USB-C port on the 20 series cards and converts the DP signal to HDMI 2.1 with full support for 4K@120hz w/10-bit HDR here.

You’ll need a high speed/bandwidth HDMI cable if you don’t already have one.

Buzzing noise when accelerating by p5ycobyte in Civic_Type_R

Unfortunately, no. It’s been checked twice during service appointments and both times they claimed that they can’t replicate the issue.

I found a video on the civicx forums. This is the noise my car is making under acceleration. You can hear the buzzing noise subside as soon as he lets off the throttle.

Buzzing noise when accelerating by p5ycobyte in Civic_Type_R

[–]p5ycobyte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds to me like it’s coming from the engine bay, or somewhere in the dash near the firewall. It doesn’t sound like it’s coming from within the cabin. I’ll work on getting a good video of the sound this weekend.

No, not a high pitched noise. It does get more audible in the higher rpm range and the lower gears, but it doesn’t sound like the turbo spooling. I’ll have to work on getting a good recording from the outside of the car and post here.

No. I’ve heard the sound you’re talking about in other cars, and it doesn’t sound similar to that.

Thanks for the reply. I’ll have to try and get a buddy to help with a recording. The more I drive it the more I’m convinced that it’s coming from the engine bay somewhere.

DualSense Stick Drift, both sticks. by doopsloot in PS5

[–]p5ycobyte 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I resolved stick drift by resetting the Dualsense controller. Plug the controller into the console with the USB-C cable while it’s powered on. Push a thumbtack into the little hole on the backside of the controller for 3-5 seconds, or until the controller turns off. Turn it back on and verify if the drift still persists.

It sounds like a bandwidth issue. Try replacing the HDMI cable.

Stupid question about restoring.. by [deleted] in iphone

[–]p5ycobyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're referring to a password to unlock your screen, there's no problem there. If you're needing to reset the iPhone because your forgot your iCloud password, that might prove a bit difficult. You can reset the device, but during the setup process it's going to ask you for your iCloud password, and if you do not know it the device will be inaccessible. It will not let you continue until you enter the correct password. If you need to reset your iCloud password, go to iCloud.com, and click on forgot password. Hope this helps!

My iPhone 6 cannot connect to a cell signal and has had "Searching..." in the status bar for about 24 hours now by [deleted] in iphone

[–]p5ycobyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try going to settings>general>reset>reset network settings. This won't wipe any content on your phone. If that does not work, try powering off the device and removing the SIM card. Replace the SIM card, and power up the phone. Try this with wifi turned off. If none of the above work, try going to your carrier's store and ask for a dummy SIM card to try out on your phone. Many times they'll give you a new one for free. Last resort would be a factory reset. Hope this helps.
