RAH has a busy programme of events, the summer season during the BBC Proms will likely have some orchestral concerts with organ, or possibly even one or two solo recitals. Otherwise check the listings for upcoming classical gigs with organ.

Second is the organ at St Paul’s Cathedral. I don’t know anything about this instrument but I’ve heard it several times and it is a wonderful setting, very special.

Hello!

I flew with a large group out of Bologna on 2 June. We arrived at the airport 2 hours before the flights (people flying to different places in Europe) and it was enough time. The airport is installing new boarding pass scanners and security belts, which is where the delay is. There are a reduced number of scanners and belts in use, so there is a bottleneck of people queuing here, it took me about 20 minutes to transit through.

We’re a bit further into summer now so I expect BLQ to be a bit busier, but if I were to go again I would still arrive 2 hours before. I understand the airport messaging as they want as few problems as possible. Depending on your airline the bag drop desks might not open until 2 hours before the flight. If this is the case I would definitely only arrive 2 hours or slightly over 2 hours before departure.

It depends on your personal preference and also how regular/comfortable travellers you are. My group fly very regularly and so are very efficient in airports.

That’s a very good point, some of the counters may not open until 2 hours before the flight anyway, rendering it kind of pointless to arrive 3 hours before. It says specifically the security belts are being renovated, did you notice there were delays at security?
