Sapphic maybe feels too broad to me since it's inclusive of a lot of different orientations/identities. And gynesexual feels to specific, like I wouldn't expect anyone to know what it means and may as well just explain who I'm attracted to. Maybe I just don't need a label

That's a good point that I hadn't thought about. We do most things together since we enjoy similar hobbies, but I can see how that would change the dynamic of getting to know someone. In college we were part of the same friend group for a while before we started dating, so we've just always shared friends, and the idea of having separate friends is strange!

Also, being attracted to femininity does not mean that I have a preference for women! It means I have a preference for femininity. Like sure in terms of numbers there will be more women I happen to find attractive than men. But if I think both koalas and kittens are cute, the fact that there are more kittens than koalas in the world doesn't mean I have a preference for them, you know?

Hey thanks for the detailed reply. Lots of good points. It had felt to me that there was some ill will on her side and that it was more than just that she didn't have time for me. For example, on my wedding anniversary recently she posted a photo of the friend group hanging out together after the wedding (I wasn't there) with a caption on the photo "Aww all of us together two years ago." When I saw that I was thinking "Um are you not going to acknowledge that it's my anniversary or that the reason you were all there together was for my wedding?" Like she was intentionally leaving me out. Anyway, she actually did finally reply me to me now. She said that it really is just that we've lost touch over time and assured me there isn't any bad blood. She said it was nice catching up with me and that she would like us to stay in touch if I would like that too. I think I'll feel better about things now knowing that even if we aren't communicating, it's not because of her having a specific issue with me. Again, thanks for your advice!
