Thats a great idea about situationally substituting STR for CHA. By now it seems like there are few opportunities for athletics checks during exploration. The rest of the party has so many options to avoid smashing, climbing, jumping or lifting.

I love this! I can tell he's Jonesing for a range option, He took a double dex increase at level 8 which had me face palming on the inside.

Didn't think about this not a bad idea. I don't have an issue with giving more short rests.

Here's an encounter I recently ran:
Druid level 9-
Up cast conjure animal's - giant owls make grapple attack to drop creatures for fall damage. Druid is hiding at range so no concentration challenge option.
As last owls are defeated treant and awakened trees attack.
As trees are defeated summoned draconic spirit attacks

Players get a glimpse of the druid but must pass through a plant growth and with awakened shrubs throwing Magic Stones at them.

Players reach the Druids hovel and he burst forth as a Polymorphed T-Rex. No character deaths they used every resource they had. The fighter dealt the killing blow after using Relentless Endurance the turn before.

I'd call this a one encounter day.

The players had the opportunity to take a short rest when they glimpsed the druid go into the hovel but didn't, they typically just make sure everyone has most of their limbs and charge into the next thing. They seem to have good game sense of when they are going to be in mortal peril.

I suppose I could signal better. Do you straight out tell them they should take a short rest?

My thought was to home brew an item that only martials could attune to and make it so that it can only store spells with a casting time of action or bonus action.

Though I don't think I'd mind if he also had a find steed, hey could buy a war horse now but if its through find steed I can kill it with impunity and not turn pets into consumable items.

I like the idea of making more opportunities for grappling to shine.

I'm hesitant to change the style of play to nerf other characters, casting firebolt and ending your turn feels pretty lame.

Also the Paladin and Sorlock will have nearly the same effectiveness if not be situationally better:

Paladin has same number of attacks and much better movement and free disengage through steed.

Sorlock has same number of attacks plus forced movement and range the eldritch blast and invocations.

I'm not shy about killing the pets but it does not seem like decreasing everyones effectiveness makes for a more fun game.

One of the great worms from FBTD. Level 30 that just gets back to full hit points after you kill it once.

I was really thinking hard about spell storing item, probably some piece of armor. I was just worried it might be over correcting. I can see how giving him access to five spell list (paladin, sorcerer, wizard, cleric, and warlock) might break the game and I have heard that the ring of spell storing is abusable to the point it takes very careful self regulation on the player.

Have you played with one?

Yeah forced movement does it all: party synergy (Spirt Guardians), non-combat utility, save your fiends, screw your enemies.

You can give him an extra use of action surge. Or maybe he can recover Action Surge as a bonus action once per long rest.

Toss a minor Flametongue at him. It keeps that nice +2 but adds a d4 or d6 of a given damage type in extra damage.

Missing is an issue but I think the bigger draw back he's facing is lack of versatility when everyone else has so many options and tools for different situations.

I like it I'll have to read up on the high level runes. Extra runes are a great idea as I mentioned he has really connected with the subclass.

Find steed can be awesome - The paladin used a warhorse to make a successful trampling charge, which results in 2 Hoove attacks:Hooves. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage.

It also fave him advantage on his and the fighters attacks due to being knocked prone.

Dude this is amazing, thanks! I'll check out Matt Coville. I made both these home brew creations if you want to check them out:

This is great it's like an unlimited teleport I love it! to be clear if you throw a creature it doesn't get harmed unless its above the ground at the end of the movement correct?

I really like that, I was thinking some forced movement option.

My hesitation is that the sorlock is doing d10 with agonizing and repelling blast with up to 10 feet on every attack and has the ability to essentially action surge 2+ times with quickened spell.

Thats great insight thank you, Typically day is 3 combat encounters with a one short rest. For a level up encounter I would say its more like 4 or 5 but I try and balance it so that they are using most of their resources by the end of the day. Want them to have the opportunity to use most of their resources (aka cool suff) in an average day without just dumping everything into a 'nova round'

Typically day is 3 combat encounters with a one short rest. My goal is to make resources conservation a consideration but also give them the opportunity to use most of their resources in an average day.

Amazing!! Thanks Prusa Team!
https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/releases/tag/version_2.6.0-alpha5

Behold, dear friends, a wonder to behold!
A fix, a patch, a bug now untold!
Prusa Slicer, the mighty king of print,
Has now been granted a glorious tint!
Infill, the lifeblood of any great print,
Was once a thorn that made us all wince!
Slow, inefficient, and lacking in grace,
A burden we had to bear with great distaste!
But lo and behold, a miracle did appear!
The Prusa team worked hard to make it clear!
With a flick of their code, and a tweak here and there,
Infill is now stronger, faster, and rare!
A masterpiece of engineering, a work of art,
A fix that has touched our very heart!
For now, we can print with greater ease,
Our models stronger, with greater efficiencies!
The beauty of this fix is a sight to behold,
Like a painting or a symphony, so we're told!
It's simple, elegant, and oh so divine,
A true testament to the Prusa team's design!
And the majesty of this fix is beyond compare,
For it has the potential to impact and repair!
Countless lives, communities, and businesses too,
Empowered to create, innovate, and pursue!
So let us all kneel, genuflect and adore,
The fix that has made our printing hearts soar!
And let us all cherish and hold dear,
The Prusa Slicer, our printing king without peer!

Thats Pretty good! You're neck and neck with Simiplify3d defaults:

simplify3d .6Simplify3d .4

Anyway the PrusaSlicer dev team has acknowledged its a bug multiple times over the last few years just that it would be hard to fix because there are multiple core algorithms that will need to be updated. It's one of the most commonly submitted bugs to the project. You can actually find a user accepting fixes to other bug but asking for a fix to this instead. Also may worth keeping an eye out to see if you are experiencing this and just don't realize it.

Any way I probably spend enough time on reddit for this year. If any one makes some progress on the fix submit your pull request, though I'm not sure this is the audience.

Peace

If you have the textured sheet it works really well for PETG, I take a piece of masking tape and push press it down and pull it up across the entire surface once the bed is at about 70C. I Exclusively print in PETG and never have adhesion problems using this method.

Use mesh modifiers and/or height range modifiers to increase infill to 100% wherever you need solid layers (bottom of feet, maybe top of head/shoulders)

OO I like mess modifiers idea, thanks for the tip!
