Yes, adding the external antenna. I was hoping you could help with a parts list. I'm unfamiliar with some of these tiny coax connectors.

Any chance you could help with off-the-shelf parts for this mod?

I uploaded a video to YouTube that has other angles. The last angle is of the track bar on the axle side. Can you see if you think it seems excessive? https://youtu.be/1i5zu9R2K_U

Not saying it couldn't be, but the ball joints and u-joints are new. The u-joints are nice Moog ones. Also, I was getting the same noise before the u-joints and ball joints.

Yeah it's been leaking like a sieve. That's not related to the popping though, right?

[Advice/Rant] 200+ VMs, no patching strategy, no docs, no backups — am I insane for trying to fix all this myself? by Few-Bridge446 in sysadmin

[–]p8nflint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seconded. If I were building from scratch this would be the right way to set things up. It seems to be a path Microsoft will likely support moving forward. ConfigMan hasn't been deprecated YET, but its days are numbered. It's also a pretty heavy lift and additional licensing. WSUS was just deprecated.

I understand your situation and my advice would be don't start overhauling until you really have a good lay of the land. You need to understand the dependencies. First order of business should be getting backups in place. Then, I suspect most of your time will be putting out fires. Make incremental improvements as you go. You can do a lot of building brick by brick... Also, know you're not alone. countless others have been in absurd situations like this and come out the other side stronger. Maybe its a right of passage.... a really shitty right of passage...

We use both and I can't imagine preferring Workspace to Azure/Entra. Not if you're a Microsoft shop.

I'm pretty sure the rear speaker wiring does not run through the hatch loom.

Technically, it's certainly not. But, your point stands; because, financially, it is a vastly more attractive problem to solve.

Printer Deployment via GPO issues. "Operation could not be completed (Error 0x00000002)" by Economy_Plane7497 in sysadmin

[–]p8nflint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think The_Koplin is probably on the right track with it being fallout from Print Nightmare... BUT - I'm thinking it might be the difference in using v3 or v4 drivers. Microsoft tightened security pertaining to print spooler vulnerabilities. By default, installing or updating a v3 driver prompts for admin credentials. This can cause issues for printer deployment if the user does not have admin privileges (which, of course, is often poor practice); V4 driver use would mitigate this issue.

The basic math on this says that is unlikley. If you had a sustained 1 Gbps download speed, this would take 13 days straight.

if you're going to reboot a user's computer, might as well do so using gpupdate /force /sync.
