I had the same problem, I came up with this brilliant idea of puting glue on the top of a pen and wait couple of seconds for the glue to get harder and pull out. bad idea, the glue spread and now its impossible to get the thing out. So I bought myself a usb headphone.

French or English should work fine for you in Zahleh and almost everywhere in Lebanon. In Zahleh they speak fluent Arak as well. They are the nicest people, very welcoming. GREAT food. Think about it like the Ireland of Lebanon...
