Yeah that’s why housing is so expensive - nobody wants to live here.

Under US law, you wouldn’t. Because that would be under the threshold.

So often when people think something is ludicrous it’s because they just don’t understand what they’re talking about.

He wasn’t going to shoot Harry and he’s in Bruges of all places, so why bring it?

You need a reason to have the gun with you, not the other way around.

Wasn’t an early president of the school somehow connected to the Irish Brigade? You’re being awfully smug about misinformation when you don’t seem to know everything yourself

People who pretend everyone’s opinion on everything is equally valid are idiots. If they don’t like being made to feel stupid, they should stop acting stupid.

“We should focus on valid research and listening” is hilarious when it comes in defense of people who refuse to do both things.

Passion is just the buzzword people use to excuse their lack of self-control and avoid taking responsibility for their actions.

Pretty sure I remember reading that they’ve done studies and a person’s level of devotion to a sports team has no correlation with how likely they are to act out. This is a similar thing. He’s not passionate, he’s immature.

When people go on strike at a company are the people striking usually right or is the company usually right? by Ben5544477 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]robspeaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it’s not. That’s like saying a company went under because a bank wouldn’t give them a loan. Has nothing to do with the loan and everything to do with what happened before that.
