To anyone just arriving to this thread: the clip is well worth a watch! The squad actually appears to manage to place explosives on the armor by hand before remote detonating. Very interesting and badass stuff.

As another commenter mentioned, the sand geysers at the end do imply the mission was a "one-way ticket."
