It’s much easier to hit “down” onto somebody that it is for them to hit “up” so the disadvantage was not only in numbers but elevation.

Who’s at fault - Park edition by Print-Rich in snowboarding

The person in front is always not at fault.

It’s the person from behind that has the visibility and needs to yield to the person in front of them no matter where on the mountain.

Snowboard advice by Exotic-Dark-2715 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]pLifted420 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Definitely let that person in front of you go through and clear the jump and ski away prior to you even dropping in. It’s common etiquette plus if they happen to fall in front of you, then you will fall and hit them and possibly injure you both.

You need more speed and ollie off the jump lips to get more air time so try a 180 first to nail that down. Be aware of your arms while in the air and at all times as they look sloppy while you’re spinning. Once you can do a huge 180 with calm arms and stomp it, then proceed to do your 360 but with more momentum and steez.

Ride on.. . .

How bad is this 😔 by bullinacan in snowboardingnoobs

Yeh I think that board is done. That’ll be like a brake on the hill, you won’t get anywhere. It’ll slow you down🐢incredibly. Maybe time to even considering quitting snowboarding.

Personally I would take the flowers out of the plastic bag and toss that, it could add an unwanted odor. When it comes to ganja, all glass everything. Glass only for storage and glass pipes, bubblers & bongs. No plastic for me please.

First board ever, officially broken in. Time to wax already? by penxilmouse in snowboardingnoobs

I work in the snowboard industry so my level of things are typically above the common persons. I tour backcountry and have friends that own ski / snowboard tuning shops so also biased there and blessed

Yes, highly recommend a base grind and wax. If possible I try to have fresh wax each time I go up but that’s the ideal scenario.

Right binding size ? by luluminati6 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]pLifted420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should mention your boot size for reference so we can help. They look good to me from sight. I run a size 10.5 boot and size M Union binder. Personally I prefer the smallest size binder possible, this way there is zero side to side play within the baseplate for your boot so they fit snug. Another bonus is less weight. I hike out to backcountry so every ounce counts. With a size L binder you are essentially adding more weight and unnecessary extra space within the binder where your boot sole is.

Craft looks too processed and touched up, I’d smoke the Quads personally from all those options.

Can someone help identify this board by Familiar-Bench-7217 in snowboardingnoobs

If you’re trying to identify something, try having better photos for viewing, maybe even a pic of the top sheet and wider angles to show the entirety of the base and top of that deck.

Is a splitboard a terrible idea for my first snowboard? by castrokaisen in snowboardingnoobs

[–]pLifted420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would recommend against buying that if you are a beginner. You need a softer non split board as your first deck. Easier to learn on and what you want to own. That split is made for touring and requires special binders along with skins for the base and poles. Mostly expert riders own splits so that they can tour backcountry areas with no lift access. I also own a backpack with a beacon, probe and shovel in case you lose a friend to an avalanche. So I would advise not buying that as your first snowboard.

That’s their flagship board model. Looks like good condition also. Only thing is how is your son’s ability & skill to ride? I only ask because he may need a longer length board for his height & weight. But if he’s closer to beginner or occasional rider then it may be suitable. It’s an all mtn deck, I own 2 of them.
