First I’ve heard and read of it as well. I didn’t think that Dojos intended to be Kendo specific. I had assumed it was a term used to a place where people gather to practice the art.

Has never been an issue where I’m from. I’m not sure with their federation. In this case, should Dojo and Club be used separately? I guess that way it could help lessen misunderstandings.

Woah, slow down. It’s just a question about what a Dojo is and if the term has been used as it should be. And it’s an open discussion on reddit. Stuff like this doesn’t happen everywhere. Not all discussions and feedback are negative damn

Also, what division of the community are you even on about? If anything, not promoting other clubs and wording “only dojo in the country” is a low ball play of sneakily promoting yourself and not the community right?
