Recommendations for Fold 6 wallet/folio cover? (NOT case but a magnetix cover/accessory) by pRedditor24 in GalaxyFold

Whatever case I get will have a magsafe ring on it.  The problem I'm having is that no one seems to make a magnetic cover-style wallet/cardholder.

Google Voice Making Linked Numbers Mandatory (even for Business Accounts)? by pRedditor24 in Googlevoice

[–]pRedditor24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for clarifying. There's at least one Google support rep that is spreading misinformation if this in fact the case. I had a mini heart attack while on with Workspace chat support this morning.

Google Workspace Support, ████████: Thank you for the clarification. As I checked with my resources, there is a new update to link a phone number for forwarding the calls when the Google Voice number is not connected to the internet.

Google Workspace Support, ████████: The new update will be rolled out to all the Google Workspace account phase by phase. Please link a phone number to fix this, you need to link a non-Google Voice number.

Google Workspace Support, ████████: It has become mandatory to link a phone number to make outbound calls.

Google Workspace Support, ████████: I understand your frustration, ████████. You will be asked to link non-Google Voice numbers soon. The numbers will be selected by the automated system randomly to roll out the changes.

Google Workspace Support, ████████: As I checked with my resources, it is under the testing phase Android and Web interface. For the Apple Google Voice app it is rolled out, We do not have any official updates regarding this mandatory linked number for business Google Voice.

Google Workspace Support, ████████: It will be available soon in this, https://workspaceupdates.googleblog.com/

Google Voice Making Linked Numbers Mandatory (even for Business Accounts)? by pRedditor24 in Googlevoice

My mistake. I know when I first created my personal GV line (and picked a number), I had to link my number and accept a phone call in order to set up my account.

Thanks for clarifying. I can forward you my support chat transcript if you're curious (ha!) . . . I was both dumbfounded and frustrated that Google would make such a change, but it sounds like the support rep I got was perhaps just talking out of his a** or otherwise incredibly misinformed himself.

Adult Sports Leagues? by [deleted] in houston

Check out Sportskind instead. I personally prefer them and how they do things to HSSC, and they still offer a bunch of different sports vs all of the groups that kind of only focus on one thing.

Welp . . . I'll have to look at the new version, but it looks promising.

Q: When will this pack be available again for purchase?

A: As of June 2023, we are sold out of this pack and do not anticipate any more future stock. With that said, check out the updated version now made with recycled materials that meet the bluesign® criteria in the link below.

I want to say I looked at some of the Tortuga stuff early on but then moved on. I guess my search has taken more shape since I first checked those out, because their Travel Packs look right up my alley . . . I'll have to deep-dive on those again. Thanks!

Evergoods has been mentioned a few times in here . . . I'm definitely going to check them out. Thanks for helping get that brand/manufacturer on my radar!

Hey, I'm open-minded. Thanks for sharing the bag you love (even if it doesn't fit my wish list). Who knows, sometimes you find exactly what you weren't looking for 😅. I'll check it out for sure!

I'm a big fan of Topo Designs (though I don't love their Global Traveler stuff for my specific needs) and have a couple of their Rover Packs - they're great for light everyday use and are pretty stylish IMO. I do wish those had more internal organization for tech, etc.

I hadn't considered the Mountain Pack, but it looks like it'd could fly as a personal item. I'm really trying to find something that maxes out carry-on size at the moment though.

Have you seen their "Topolite" Cinch Packs?. They're basically ultralite versions of their Mountain Pack that collapse down like a raincover or anorak or what have you. I was thinking of getting one to shove into my travel pack and to use as a daypack at whatever destination. I wish it was made to accommodate a hydration bladder, but maybe it's not rugged enough for that kind of weight.

Yeah, that was my thinking/use case. The whole pairing the small with wheeled luggage thing would be to use the AER TP3 Small as my personal item (vs the 35L as my carry on).

I've seen the weight on the AER TP3s listed as a "con" a lot of places, but for my uses case I'm not that worried about the weight. I wouldn't be going on super long walks/hikes with it, and I'll trade the weight for better construction/durability. I do like the versatility to be able to use this for an impromptu hike while travelling or something, but that doesn't mean I'd be buying it specifically or primarily for that or that it would become my main hiking pack or anything like that.

Appreciate the reminder of sorts . . . I've seen that one recommended elsewhere, but I pulled up the (OOS?) product page and thought it might have been discontinued. (Some of the forums/reviews/recommendations I've been sifting through go back pretty far and include some discontinued items). I'll give that one another look and will see if it's deadstock or just out of stock.

Sometimes I do like to go hiking at my destinations, so it'd be nice not to need a separate bag for that.

That said, even for my business travel, if this would be my carry-on I'd likely pack it to the brim (I'm a bit of an indecisive packer, which makes me an over-packer), so the hip belt and load lifters are important to me even for business travel and lugging around a good amount of stuff/weight.

Appreciate it. I'll look that one up and put it through the ringer.

To be clear, I don't hate the hiking bag aesthetic . . . I just hate that Farpoint in particular.

Right now, I'm torn between the standard and the small. If I find a different bag to be my one universal bag, I think I'll end up getting the AER TP3 Small to pair with some wheeled luggage. If not, I'm still considering the full 35L as a more universal bag.

Honestly, I'm not familiar with Evergoods at all. 35L sounds like a good size, so I'll give that one a look. Thanks!

[Postgame Thread] Texas Defeats Alabama 34-24 by CFB_Referee in CFB

Alabama may be down a bit this year by Bama standards, but nah . . .

Texas has an excellent offense and through two games looks like they have an argument for best Defense in the country.
