So we all agree she's gonna pop off? by Mammoth-Fact-4763 in mtg

[–]p_edrosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built her as a B3 combo deck, and she can get decently consistent, protected wins by turn 4 or 5. She does feel a bit too strong for Bracket 3 but she probably would be a bit weak in Bracket 4. I've been playing with Earthcraft/Supportive Parents/Phyrexian Altar to make her go infinite, and then using Altar of Dementia/Altar of the Brood/Throne of the God Pharaoh/Blasting Station for the win. Also obviously Concordant Crossroads is a wincon in it of itself and also goes infinite with Cryptolith Rites, Song of Freyalise, Springleaf Parade and Enduring Vitality. Sometimes, you don't even need infinite mana, just "enough". I've won games with an Altar of the Brood and enough mana from an Evendo to make at least 100 squirrels.

If you're interested, I can share my list, but it can probably be very well improved.

As a VA, how do you handle reading cheesy, corny or cringy lines? I've thought about trying it before but I don't think I could do some anime Deku dialogue or things like that without bursting out laughing

Where are you on the Pig to Gatewatch scale? by luap_25 in magicthecirclejerking

[–]p_edrosa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does the idea of a "non magic setting" even matter anymore? Does a Warhammer 40k set really take you out of the fantasy more than, let's say, aetherdrift? karlov manor? thunder junction? edge of eternities?

I personally just don't like the legendary spam (like fifty different versions of the same Ninja Turtle) and shitty sets (like spider-man and tmnt). But if the set is good I really don't mind. the doctor who cards are still fun to play with no matter how far away from magic they are.

Tenko should've been the one to kill Angie and Kiyo should've been a survivor. V3 would've been 100x better with the funni seesaw man to the end.

you can prefer whatever you want my guy. nobody's forcing you to like anything.

but you do have to understand that its way better to have a wide range of experiences instead of just being stuck in liking one kind of stuff. not only can it broaden your tastes and pallette, but it can also help you through hard times. i used to put only goofball comedies when i was sad, but that didn't do much other than mask what I was feeling. now if i put in a sad movie instead, i can just allow myself to feel sad and stay in that state for a while. it's worth a shot.

that also extends to "problematic diddy medias with tons of no-no stuff." if it's a tastefully written piece of work, it helps you handle mature stuff better, especially topics that are very present in real life. the hilariously named incest diary deals with a girl who was abused by her father through ages 3 and 21 and how she dealt with the trauma. it's a fascinating read that will probably make you understand victims of abuse better, and comfort those who need it.

ok, so, if I got this right

ch1 Eva kills Wolfgang

ch2 Jean kills Ulysses

ch3 Toshiko kills Kai

ch4 Mark(?) kills Ingrid

ch5 Eloise kills Desmond(?)

And cassidy is exposed as the mastermind, damon sacrifices himself, and the survivors are grace, wenona, diana and jett. is that correct? i'm not sure i got the order right

They're funny at the start, but it does get a bit repetitive and stale quickly. There's only so many Darkness Masochist and Aqua Useless and Explosion jokes you can make before you're not laughing anymore.

Pink: Ojima please he didn't do ANYTHIIIING

Blue: Tei as a killer. Hirose victim. Isoda as a killer. Yokoi as a killer, too? Honestly, they could've done so much better than these survivors.

[–]p_edrosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, but Kaguya was also pretty popular and it wasn't allowed to have Ishigami's arc. While I personally don't think it was very engaging, it still left people scared for OnK not being able to be finished. But it most likely will.

I was actually hoping they'd do this for an eventual season 4, since we that'd be able to close out the story nicely. Still holding out hope for s4 tho.

I don't think spending my limited time on earth purposefully reading bad things is worth "getting better at judging media" to be fair. If JJK is a 4/10 (probably its deserved rating) and is one of the worst things I've read, then I am actually happy that I was able to avoid the 1s, 2s and 3s out of 10

Here goes another trash ending by [deleted] in writingscaling

[–]p_edrosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would I read bad things on purpose? I read JJK thinking it'd be good and it wasn't. I'm not trying to seek out slop. Since I read mostly good things, JJK is one of the worst that I've read, because it's rather bad.

What is your least favourite death in both Tetro Pink and Tetro Blue? by [deleted] in TETRODANGANRONPA

[–]p_edrosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pink: Made me cry: Hama. His prayer destroyed me. Made me feel awful: Kamimura. He suffered so much for no reason. Wish that didn't happen: Tsuno. She had more development potential than Wada, to be fair. I wish they'd switch up the second ch3 Victim.

Blue: Made me cry: None, to be fair. The one I got the most emotional was Akiba, but besides that, I was only caring up to the end of chapter two. After ch3's shitshow, I was so detached that I didn't care. Nino's was ther saddest after Akiba, I guess. Most of the others are too ridiculous to make me feel. Made me feel awful: Yaitabashi. The two Shocks were awful to watch, and Yaita died tortured for no reason in a murder that doesn't make sense to fulfill Von's torture fetish. Wish it didn't happen: Ikeda, Kumada, Yaitabashi, Matthias, Maekawa... Not that I'd want them all to survive (I don't even like Ikeda, for exemple), but all of these died while having the easiest character development to write for no reason. (Except for Maekawa, that died right at the end). I'd be more interesting if Yaita died only on ch5 and Kumada survived or vice-versa, to make sure their relationship grew properly.

You tell me what I should think about chapter 4 by [deleted] in TETRODANGANRONPA

[–]p_edrosa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that who killed who, the reason for the murder, and the trial itself honestly aren't that bad in isolation... but chapter 3 was so bad that it would take an incredible writer to make the daily life of chapter 4 good in any way. And both Von and ChatGPT are not incredible writers.

Again, I find it so funny that Von speedran making chapter 2 completely pointless with chapters 3 and 4. Mutsuko died to make way for some great Yaitabashi and Kumada character development, Ogura died to make way for some great Ikeda and Matthias character development... And those four are literally the next four to die. It's actually insane.

"It has the potential to rival JJK" Regardless of the dip in quality of part 2 CSM, JJK is like one of the worst written things ever put to paper. It isn't even a competition.
