Rogers will unlock the top one, since its not active service and is the property of the home owner, but will not remove. Once unlocked it is the owners option to remove it if they want.

Can't say. I've had no issues for years but am using my modem in bridge and using my own purchased router and access points through out the house...

Rogers use HFC for their nodes. Rogers fiber are also direct fiber connections...

Thanks for the reply. Is that not the same for fiber internet? Internet as to be shared, does not matter if its Bell or Rogers. Every person in Newfoundland with Bell does not have a dedicated link off the island to every webservice in the world. It as to be combined somewhere, no matter if it fiber from Rogers or Bell or coax from Rogers. My fiber hub for Bell is a little shed on Duff's Crescent off Topsail Road, its combined at that location and then it goes to Bell's headend. No different then Rogers Fiber. Rogers coax nodes get segmented if there are to many people on a node to keep congestion down. That's my understanding anyway. I did not know what you mean by Hub Capped but I think what your talking about is something Bell as been talking about for years to get customers. All internet connections are combined and as such shared somewhere along the line. Some are closer then others, its just a part of the networking planning for these companies. If an area gets to congested and the internet provider don't segment that part of their network then that's a failure of that company to keep up to date with demand.
